Remember a few months ago, they were backing bridge beams out NC42 in Lee County? 10 miles from Us-1 to the river, at about 1mph in reverse...when there are plenty of places to turn around closer to the bridge project.

Well, they are at it again today.

@oscar80 they will go by your house soon...at Thomas store now...

Yep, there are several turnarounds. I think truck drivers, project manager, dot permit office, somebody got into a pissing contest, and this was the punishment or retaliation.

Not sure why you couldn't just drive straight in, jack knife the tractor, and pick up the beam.

Also, I'm ignorant in the ways of bridge building..

Ya well those trailers are sliders so yeah they could drive in take beam off and collapse trailer to around 35-40’
