Bang for Buck Best Cheap Tow Rig?

Yeah but that opens a whole can of worms.
Insurance on something that all u can do is pull with.
Heavier tag $$$
Unless you get a cab over day cab its gonna be hard to get around in some places.
tires are more expensive
more maint cost
Its gonna cost a lot more to get towed home if it breaks down.

I agree its alternative, but for me Ill stick w my PSD.
I'm tagged as a RV and I have progressive insurance on and it's not bad priced....the only thing is the state police has stopped me twice in the last two weeks for inspection but when thay realize that I'm an RV thay send me on my way...

What kind of hitch are you running? Et and trailer saver are the two I've been looking at.

4/5 years ago I bought a F350 4wd reg cab that the city of Bristol had bought new. When I went to ins it I had to get commercial ins since the vin indicted it was a commercial vehicle. In the end I think the ins was actually a lil cheaper than my pass ins on my other vehicles.

I ran into the same thing with my F-350 ExCab 4x4 C&C... the VINs aren't the same as the Pickup versions and throws a flag for the NC insurance folks.
In a nutshell, they see it as a "Commercial vehicle" (even though it's being used for personal use) and have to write it up differently...
