You would go broke rebuilding the front axle every time you drive it. Hell, I don’t even see how it can steer. Can you imagine the stress on the ball joints and everything in the steering system?

I'm considering a roof rack/headboard one piece design on mine. My gear gets the bed pretty full......so I'm considering a roof rack with bike rails, kayak mounts or both! I'm planning on two bikes and two boats.
I already have my custom bed and a camper top don't work for folks like me who also pull a gooseneck. The roof is unutilized space.
They are great when it's just not another look at me piece of furniture.
When you have a 13' kayak you don't want sticking out way past the back.

It does make parking more difficult, I have one of those bed extenders that I use with my 14' kayak. I drove to Hatteras with it sticking out the back with no problems. Admittedly I watch the people behind me a lot more and threaten their lives when they get to close.
