Biggest douche-mobile

Well that is sad…..I was hoping it wasn’t real and just photoshopped. Amazing what people will do to screw up a perfectly good truck.
Honestly I'm not sure it's so terrible.
It may look funny compared to what we're used to, but if you think about it it has a lot more space than a traditional tonneau cover and will yield way better miles per gallon on the highway.
I'm actually surprised that they are not more common

Not more accessible or usable space, Reaching anything close to the cab will be impossible without unpacking everything. Reaching over the sides and in with a lift up tonneau is much less hassle.

Way better? No, Marginally better, yes... Study after study shows that the vortex created by a Pickup truck running with tailgate up or a tonneau is not the terrible aerodynamic drag everyone thinks, Will this be better? Probably, Maybe even a quarter mile per gallon... But if someone is THAT worried about MPG, Quit driving a damn pickup with an empy bed and no trailer behind, Which is the only time this cap is useful and an aerodynamic advantage.

Finally, forget everything else about it... It's just plain ugly!

The top opens like a car hatch, you can reach over the sides. And if you need the squarish space in the back just leave the lid up and lash in place.
The big difference in aero is that it makes the overall shape of the vehicle closer to a teardrop, the magical ideal for reducing drag and turbulence. Not the same as tailgate down etc.
Maybe not hugely different but these days every bit helps. When you're already getting only 20 mpg, a 1-2mpg difference is 5-10% and can add up if you do a lot of miles.

All I'm saying is it may look funny bc we're not used to it but it's not really that dumb.

What I wonder about is what the rear end and corner visibility is like.

Not gonna argue this too far with you, Because we're both right ;)

But a "Hatchback" design on a 6 foot tall vehicle makes the the area behind the cab inaccessible, If you use a step ladder you'll over balnce and fall into the bed trying to reach anything!

This type of design (TALL hatchback) IS on the road already...

An we've all gotten used to a certan similar design that's also been labeled ugly;

But how you feel about appearance is subjective, I think they are ugly, but I have a strong bias towards a rear 3 quarters appearance.

I think you're over estimating the benefit of the teardrop vs a vortex, but we'd need wind tunnel tests to verify... I'm betting on more like a .5 to 1.5 advantage.

My supposition is that the market that cares even your 5%-10% isn't going to be driving an F-150 though...

I never said it was a "dumb" design though, it isn't. I said it's ugly and impractical :D

Why has no one mentioned the $7,500 price tag? I'm not gonna do the math but 10% better MPGs will take longer than the 8 year note most people are probably signing for a new truck.

Spotted yesterday...'locally hated' along the bottom of windshield. I'd say 'universally hated' but what do I know.

Oh, and if you have Instagram, check out the low IQ display out of Greenville.

Where TF are you gonna buy a decent truck for $7500 in 2023?

Definitely not at a car lot when you are needing one.
@jcramsey found this one for me last year. Wasn't really looking for a truck but couldnt pass it up....just gotta have cash and be ready to go when deals pop up. I stopped what I doing, called the guy and told him I was on my way with money. I wouldn't take double what I paid for if that tells you anything.

to be fair to the douche canoe. The far right parking spot has crap in half of it and the parking stop seems to be straddling the line. So he parked to the curbing not th lines.

It’s actually a full spot. I know this cause I’ve put my 2500 ram in all of em. It’s kinda an optical contusion.
