This might have just convinced me to get one. Been working one my outdoor grilling and chilling station this year and it’s time to get some new toys.Note of consideration: They are extremely easy to detach from the cart legs, and put them into a fancy cook station build
Bruh...it's to START the baconwhy would you do that when you could end up with bacon as a side effect.
When I talk about messy, it is more about the grease splatter covering everything. The side tables, the legs, the patio etc.Tip ive learned. Every spring with the first bit of warm (because im a pu55y for cold water in the cold weater), I take a wire wheel and dawn detergent and i clean it extremely well. Rinse really well. And immediately cook bacon covering every square inch. Seasoned perfectly and gets rid of that gradual buildup over winter from hurried/rushed cleaning (brrrrr)
Yea, @Curtis_H has that one but the whole things a griddle. Works well but isn’t exactly a blackstone. It’s like a propane non stick skillet. Easy to clean for sureThey make a new camp stove as well.

I have one and used it once. Verdict is still out. The cooking surface doesn't seem to be the same seasonable cast iron. Its more like cooking on a non stick skillet.
Me too! I have an Austin XL at the house and a tailgater in the RV.I love my pit boss smokers
If it is for the house the 36 for sure.I became more older yesterday and my parents got me a 28 inch Blackstone that I didn’t even ask for. This thread is timely. Only question is should I take it back and get a 36” or just stick with the 28” since I already have it
Sounds good. Can I also get it?I'll send you my sourdough pancake recipe.
For surface clean up, all I do is after every cook I crank it all the way up for 5 minutes, quirt the top down with water and let it boil. Wipe down with a bar mop. Then while still hot I run a line of EVOO across the top and wipe it to a sheen and cut it off. No build up no scouring, ever.
The thing I see that I would not like about the Weber is where the grease trap is, I would loose some food I think. The one from tractor supply would be ok I think, you don't really use the lid during cooking like you do on a regular grill.Took the 28” back per y’all’s advice, now debating between:
A. New 4 burner from Tractor Supply for $250
B. Weber 28” from Costco for $270Loading…

C. A nicer flip lid 36” Blackstone off Facebook for $200-300.Loading…

There’s only 4 of us, so I don’t know that I would really need the extra space of the 36”, but 2 burners didn’t seem like enough heat control on the 28”. The Weber bridges that gap nicely, being the smaller size but having 3 burners. Also the reviews are really good and a lot of people say they had a Blackstone and the Weber is better.
They make an electric counter top one, that's 17 or 22". Id say the cheap walmart electric griddles are a better but though. Big difference is the cheap ones have a nonstick coating, so metal utensils aren't recommended. So where do ya'll use your Blackstones?
I've been wanting one for awhile, then this morning I was cooking a shitpile of french toast and thinking "man this would be soooo much faster with that giant griddle."
Then looked outside at the 20 degree wind chil and thought... hell naw I wouldn't want to be out on the proch just to make a big ass brefass right now...
I have the 28" and it works fine, but wish I had gotten the 36. I like that the 28" can fold up and go in a trunk though. We take it camping and on vacation often.Took the 28” back per y’all’s advice, now debating between:
