Mail the kid a bill for $1100. That's how much YOU could've made on it if you'd had the title.

The hockey puck still has not sent me a title. Anyone know how old that "Poor Teenager "is??

If the deed... uh, deal..... was done during business hours a simple trip to the DMV could have yielded an "instant title" for $25.00. . But look what we'd have missed. Live and learn..........

As far as I know only two cities in NC offer an instant title. Charlotte and Raleigh.

Instant Title Fee:

An instant or fast title may be issued over the counter at the Raleigh and Charlotte state operated offices. The title fee for an instant title is $75.00.

Additionally, an instant title may be requested at a Vehicle and License Plate Renewal Office for a title fee of $75.00 and the title will be mailed from the Raleigh Headquarters office the next business day. Check out our Office Locations Section regarding Vehicle and License Plate Renewal Offices.

Note: An instant title may not be issued for a duplicate title application, a duplicate title with transfer application or a title application by affidavits (when the original title was assigned and lost).

For a more in depth explanation of Instant Titles you can view our Vehicle Titling & Registration: Instant Title Section.

OMG instant titles have trippled since I had one done!!!!!
From NC DOT site, partial list of fees:
http://www.ncdot.org/dmv/vehicle_services/registrationtitling/titlePlateFees.html
You just go in an ask for one, whip out your $$$ and it's done.
Title & Registration Fee
Certificate of Title $40.00
Instant Title $75.00
Salvage Title (Form MVR-40 - Raleigh Office Only) $15.00
Repossessor Certificate of Title $15.00
Registered owner sells vehicle to buyer . Buyer doesn't get title transferred but wants to sell to buyer two. Buyer one and buyer two go to DMV. They will issue buyer one an instant title and transfer it to buyer two all in one transaction. Buyer one happy, sold vehicle; buyer two happy, has title to his just purchased vehicle; DMV happy, they have a handfull of your money for buyer one's procrastination(?) and sales taxes from the transfer. EVERYBODY HAPPY!!! (except your wallet now obviously!)

I get instant titles all the time, some cars I buy on a Monday and sell on a Wednesday. A quick trip to Raliegh with your paper work and they issue one right on the spot in your name ,$75 as mentioned. I'll add also it's not up to the new buyer to be responsble for you getting the title put in your name, just his. Ol' broncoforJC was bitching about needing tme to get the title back and not making much money after paying the title transfer, you figure that expense in on the front end of the deal kid, not the back end. I pray just about everyday, J.C. told me he was getting pissed about that title.

Because this has nothing to do with the Zu. Your welcome to be there but, you have to follow their rules.

I tried to get the bronco, i got a truck, rented a trailer and came up there to get the vehicle...I was told the valve stems leaked and had some flat tires, i brought an air tank, filled the tires and they leaked too bad for the tires to hold air enough on the way home to stay on the trailer straight, but it was a cool ride, wish i could have gotten it home... He didnt have a title when i went to get it either, but whatever.... Good luck with getting it.
