Brush Mower Experience?

Looking at renting a walk-behind brush mower to plow down some brush. Says its rated to 3" thick stuff. Dont know if that holds true. Anyone got any experience with using these?

i helped a buddy clear his "yard" when he bought the place. make sure its self-propelled and be ready for it to kick your ass. but it did what they said it would do

Exactly my experience too

Just hire someone with a skid steer and a mulching head.

Neighbor rented one the other weekend to thin out some brush. It whipped his ass pretty good. It does the job but isn't a fun experience.

i can rent a skidsteer with a bushhog head for 600 a day around here, but you cant always get one where you need to do it at.

You're looking in the wrong places. My best friend and his dad have 2 machines. $150/hr, 4 hr minimum. One machine can knock out an acre of overgrowth in no time.

That's dirt cheap. Everyone I've seen around here is high as the sky.
