Canstruction.. Donating food to NC Food Bank..

My Co-workers and myself were part of a competition where you use food cans to build a design and after it is done all the food goes to NC Food Bank

Here are some pics of what we did. and yes all the cans are balancing.. they are not glued or attached to anything.

We made a Rubik's Cube

The food displays were built at Exploris in Downtown Raleigh, and will be on display for approximately 4 months..

we built the 1st level with just cans
- then we layed down a large piece of 3/16 steel I made
- we then stacked more cans around that piece and
- then we layed down another piece of steel I made
- then stacked third level on top.
after that we layed some Foam core down and then layed freezy pops ontop of that to make the top layer

took us 3 hrs with 7 people..

and yes I designed it all in Autocad first :)
