Chainsaws

Just got my 262xp back with fresh 30$ Amazon rebuild kit. She’s a screamer! This jug also has a compression release so that’s a nice addition.

But I still say m18 say for most things

I'd like to find something bigger for when I use the chainsaw on the mill. The 460 does it but I would think the next size up would be better. Especially since I'd like to use it with a 36" bar and chain. That would get me closer to a 30" cut on the mill. Right now I only get about a 25" cut with the 32" bar.

Got it put back together tonight. Will say I was impressed it started on the 3rd pull. Hopefully pick up a bar and chain tomorrow and she how she runs after some break in.

Only time mine ever gave me any grief about starting turned out to be bad gas. Fresh tank and it cranked right up.

Same process every time. Just choke it, pull three or four times til you get a good hit, and then knock the choke off and pull once.

So when I picked up my saw they had a 500i in there with a 28" bar. Anyone run one yet?

Just rebuilt my 660 this evening. Not too bad of a job for my first time doing it. Went ahead and put on a max flow air filter system and west coast saw 3 point dogs. Damn thing has some serious compression now lol.

Yes. It runs really darn well with a 24” lightweight bar. Most I see setup on the shelf have the 28 though. Pulls the 28 just fine but it’s better balanced for all around work with the 24 IMO.

Pretty simple really. I don't have $1500 to spend on a new saw. ;)

More like 1900 once you get a 24” lightweight bar and goodies from WCS.

It’s probably light enough to be the one do it all saw if you could only have one.
That’s how I feel about my 046 even though I know it’s not true
