Chainsaws

I read a lot and post little on Arborsite. My take on the Chinese saws is they're trash. Some folks get some use from them, some never even run. I am not against Chinese products when they are a good value but the saws seem to be an item that isn’t worth the gamble.

My neighbor bought this saw several years ago and it was started for him when he bought it at Monroe Hardware down the road from us. It was the only time it has been started. He was afraid to even try to use it. I cut up a fallen trees for him and help them out whenever needed. He told me a few months ago he wanted to give me this saw. Today he dropped it off. He said "Happy Labor Day!" lol

Your mower matches your jeepster, cute 🥰

Random question but figured this was the best place. Any issues with long term storage of a saw with the bar horizontal? I'm thinking about making a packout box/stack for saws and for my saws to fit in a large tool box they would have to be laid on their side.

My stihl will ooze bar oil if left bar side down. Never left it the other way but then the tank caps would be on the low side. They seal pretty well but its wonky like that.

As long as gas ain’t leaking out, store it however you want. Mine leak bar oil no matter what.
