Now it was time for a winch. I was given a badlands 12k for Christmas. My buddy has a cnc table at his house so I asked him to help build a bumper.

Here's what we came up with.

Here is the finished product.


This brings the build up to date at the moment. I'm deployed again and returning in a couple months.

When I come home i'm planning on;
- swapping in a D44/14 Bolt
- 4-link rear/stretch/comp cut
- fuel cell relocation
- tube fenders
- cage

so stay tuned.

My buddy John and I got some stuff done on the jeep last Friday. Here's John cutting my hood so we can install my poison spider hood louver.

Installed. Should reduce some of the engine bay heat. We also threw on some rock sliders as well.

Picked up a set of corbeau's for when I do my cage soon.

Picked up a new toy this weekend. So excited to finally have a "crawler hauler"

Finally started the "build"

Got the axles cut out of the jeep. Will get the new axles installed and linked this weekend.

Yes sir. Couldn't find any for Chevy 44 so trimmed down a 60 truss to fit.

This is a great post. I am rebuilding a cj5 and it was cool to see this. I get my engine back from the rebuilder today.

Once you get it burned in, I'm interested to see what got trimmed and how close you were able to get it to the chunk...

Good eye. It fits nicely enough that I didn't even notice it until mentioned.
