I am affiliated with two clubs. The Carolina Trail Blazers, and Rock Corps 4X4 LLC.
The Carolina Trail Blazers as many know we are coming up on our 40th year in existence. We are the oldest club in Southern Four wheel Drive association, if not one of the biggest in there. We are part of United four Wheel Drive Association, and Blue Ridge Coalition. We have helped families, children and donated 1000's of dollars to other clubs members and the effort to keep wheeling places open. We are a non profit organization that is open to membership to anyone who has the love of getting out and riding trails.
Rock Corps 4X4 is a new club. Only organized nearly two years ago. What started with 6 members has grown to over 50 in a short time. We lease and maintain a piece of property many have already seen known as The Flats.Without numbers in front of me, I will venture to say we have raised in excess of $10,000 over the last year and a half to help out some individuals and families in need due to circumstances beyond their control. We have given toys and funds to the local Social Services to help meet their growing quota of kids in need. We do this by holding open invites, benefit rides at our property, and through membership dues.
I couldn't in all good conscience go with out mentioning The Big Dixie Boggers. I know for a fact they have raised a lot of funds over the years to help out their community. The BDB is more than a club, they are a brother(and sister)hood. One of the closest-nit group of wheelers I have ever known. They go out of their way to help each other, and others when the needs arise.
CNC, while a quiet group by todays standards, they are a group of doers. Can't go to URE and not see the labors they have produced.
And the many other clubs and groups that contribute in many other ways if only to support the efforts of the above mentioned clubs in their efforts.
The Wheeling community in a whole is a group I am very happy to be associated with
