CNC4x4 just got back from Ivy Branch, WV this past weekend. This is a very nice trail system. There was very little trash on the trails and all of the ATV riders we encountered were very friendly. Several of the ATV riders wanted to follow us around just to watch. The trails are marked very well. It would be very difficult to get lost. There is a trail sign at every intersection and then a second sign 50 feet or so into the trail to let you know you are on the right one. There was no spidering of trails that we saw at all and no illegal bypasses. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a new place to ride, regardless of vehicle or driver ability. There is plenty there for everyone. Here is a link to some pictures and a couple videos of red/black trails. I will be uploading more videos this week.

Awesome! Looks like you guys had a lot of fun. I was going to go back to Harlan next but may check this place out instead. That trail that runs under that rock undercut looks pretty neat!

looks like I would NOT be able to take my 5 year old boy in my jeep with me? hes not 4 foot 9. that correct?

I saw that same sign in the pictures :(

I think the helmet rule is bullshit personally.

I thought wearing a helmet all weekend was going to bring the suck, but surprisingly it really didn't end up bothering me that much and almost forgot about it after awhile. Almost flopping/rolling over twice in the same day it also wouldn't have been the worse thing to have on.

Grant it we only got on 4 of the 15 double black trails but the ones we did the trails were tight as on every single one I had the Jeep leaning on the cage or body armor to get through, it was a blast. However trying these trails in a full size rig with exposed sheetmetal and glass would be a different story, in fact we had a very capable XJ with us that on two occasions had to turn around not becasue his rig wouldn't get thru but in doing so would get torn up.

Yeah I can understand that. I may have to plan a trip for mid October with some people. I've only been to URE once this season, been too busy with other projects and I'm getting the itch bad..
