when i first saw this posted on pirate a few weeks ago I thought what a very awesome idea..wish I could afford it..

Excellent Idea! I'd like a quote on a turn key machine just like this, minus plasma cutter. The space savings is a big plus in my eyes with only a 3k sq ft shop.

What happens to the pieces that fall out? They are not all gonna fall backwards. Tip ups are bad enough on a normal table. What about when the metal starts to warp? There's no gravity to hold it down, and you cant set anything on top to hold it. Looks like a pita to use smaller pieces or to use multiple sizes at once, you don't always put a full sheet on the table. You are gonna need a crane to put a 4x4 sheet of 1/4 or thicker on it. I see no way to cut a 4 x 8 sheet. Seems like a good idea in theory, I'm not so sure about in real life. I would rather have one I could use horizontal, and stand vertical to store.

Tip ups actually happen less, being on a slight vertical if the piece is on the tipping point like on a horizontal table, on the vertical table the majority of the weight is supported by the bottom of the part and it slips down into its cut out. Warping isn't a problem when you have ATHC that is standard on all our tables. Its easier to load plate on to the vertical table manually then a horizontal table and is easily done via a fork lift via cam plate handler.
