One of my drivers delivered to Aldi in Salisbury last night late. He called in with a loss in power and a Christmas tree dash. Anyone have any recommendations for a tow if I need it or a shop that can look at it in the area? 2017 Freightliner with a Detroit Diesel.

I dont have personal experience but my BIL uses Eller for storing & repairing his truck. It's only a couple exits from the Aldi Dist exit, right off 85

Hopefully it's a simple egr issue. Series 60 were great engines but dd15 can turn into a money pit quick
I think we have Series 60's but I could be wrong.
for future: Thompson Diesel in Greensboro can help : (336) 808-5225
Thanks. we are actually running more up into NC lately so it's good to have contacts.

Gotta love this. Someone stole our trailer from Eller Diesel. 2004 Wabash Tag: 386 5CH FL Florida plates. It's our trailer umber 04 so it will have FB04 or FULB04 on the front and back.

Dammit man. Were they the ones that towed the truck and trailer to their lot? No cameras?
Truck and trailer were on the lot at the repair shop. Apparently someone backed up to the trailer hooked up and drove off. I talked to the owner he was shocked. Said they are several trailers on the lot not sure why they chose ours. They have video of the theft. I'll try and get it tomorrow.

Well, damn there goes my recommendation 🤦‍♀️ I'm sorry to hear this & hope they can recover it.
Doubtful. It's right next to the interstate. Talked to a deputy tonight she said with the location it could be long gone.

Damn, my work has stored overflow trailers at Ellers for years when we run out of room on the yard, never had a single issue.

Yea when I say the owner was floored I mean he was. No hard feelings here just my luck it seems. Driver gave me an update they think it's the DEF dumping too much fluid.

On a side note I watched this video yesterday:

To a guy that has very little knowledge I feel like this explains the process well. I did not realize it was a lot of tuning and the old parts basically stay in place.

Wonder if some driver didn't hook to the wrong trailer on accident.
There is a lot of tuning involved but there is still a lot of work to be done, especially if the engine is set back under the cab where all the egr cooler connections are.

The trailer may have been grabbed accidentally. The tow company was asked if they came and got it and they said no from what I understand.

Yes the whole delete thing has been an idea but IIRC one shop wanted $20K to do it. I could be wrong on that number. It's something I'm going to try and look into more. The whole melting the turbo down scares the hell out of me though.
