Cooling issues

you dont need that on a jeep. At 100+ sustained maybe, and then it would be more about more speed than more cooling.
What that really needs is a funnel not gimmick flaps.

I told the guy I really didn’t need it cause I don’t drive in the road but that was the size that fit. They’ll stay shut all the time, or I could block them off

I've been doing some research on both Taurus and Volvo fans....looks like they're basically the same...my question is what year, make, model am I looking for? I really don't have time to hit up a PAP....so I'm looking to order off Rock Auto more than likely...
Thoughts?

You need used OEM parts to get the good shit.
Don't buy brand new china shit.
Ebay is a good source.

If you want brand new, get a good Spal. Give me a diameter and I'll give you a PN.

But that won't fix a shitty shroud.

I'm pretty sure I have a Taurus fan laying around. I don't think I'm going to need it.

I burned up 2 Spals in my Jeep. I had to go back to mechanical.

Not the right fans for your application or wiring not done properly.
Genuine Spal fans are the best aftermarket offering out there, but you need to get the appropriated model for the use.

That said, nothing will ever beat a mechanical fan. If you can fit one I always recommend to go that way.

Great article...I came across that when researching. I appreciate you sharing it! Going to work on it today- will post some results..
FWIW- I use the Volvo fan and relay along with the BMW temp switch. Couldn't be happier.
I bought 4 fans, 4 relay boxes and the temp switches at a Marion NC PNP for like $120 many years ago
They're out there and easy to locate

I had someone send me info on Champion radiators. I called and spoke to them. I purchased a new aluminum radiator for about $239. It fit right in, and the fan assembly bolted right up and was nice and sealed. I've only driven it a few times since being put in and it does an excellent job! It seems to be doing the job. I have to drive it longer, then obviously take it off road to get final picture. I do think my 2 biggest problems were the face the fan wasn't sealed to the radiator like you guys said. Never realized a gap like that would have such negative effects.....Live and learn I guess!
Hopefully I can get it out tomorrow for a good ride and see what happens...

I appreciate all your advice!!

I'm fixing to go aluminum too, & done some searching. All the omix I find, have plastic tanks. NO! Summit list several brands. I like the Frost Bite. Priced right, & backed /or sold, by Holly. Couldn't find who Actually makes it, but with Holly & Summit, I feel good! I saw your post, & looked at Champion. Many reviews on Amazon, & hate to say it, but nearly every one Leaks. Naturally it's Chinese's, & they replace it for you, with another leaker, After, you ship yours back. No refunds, just replacements. Good Luck & keep a close eye. :(

For an aluminum radiator I am HUGE fan of Dewitts.
If you could see what they did for my cooling issues in the mustang you’d be too.

PWR is the top of the line shit.
Triton is up there too.

Not sure everyone can afford them. I for sure can't.

CBR, Griffin and Ron Davis are really good too but not at the same level.

Dewitts x2 I have a 2 custom radiators (same drawing) one from Dewitts and one from Griffon. The Dewitts one came out way nicer.

Page 2 to read about my cooling issue and how the Volvo fan solved it. It’s soooo easy. If you don’t wanna deal with temp sensors to run the relay, simply make low run when the key comes on and have grounded toggle switch to engage high.
