Copper Crawler buggy build

HOLEEY MOLEY BAT MAN!

that is absolutly awesome Matt!
where do those action packer totes and mounts be seen online for sale?

pretty sure he got them from swagoffroad.com

thats right chip,http://www.swagoffroad.com/Action_Packer.html

the totes can be purchased about anywhere, wally world, target, etc, bout $20 dollars each. the cages, can either be hinged or dbl latch like mine, bout $120 each. sounds pricey, but i had those tool chests in my old (yours now) chassis built, before i purchased a metal brake, and they were over $400. I like this better i think, because i can take the entire toolchest to the busted up junk rather than make 5-10 trips BACK to the tool box to get whats needed. I feel this will be more efficient, when needed. Plus, watertight!

got fuel retainment completed other than bolting it down, (have damn near worn my drills out). also skirts under tool tray. just alil bit more sheet fabrication then all the minor tabs, gussets, etc, and fabrication will be complet, not to say that wont take another week or to on the small shit!

there will be a slight trim to fender in wheel opening, very minor, pretty pleased that the front clip fits so well with axle placement.

thanks kid and novacayne. yep, i drank the koolaid, i dig the dies, makes fabbing sheet more fun, although double the work, but a terrific looking and functional finished product. you should have multiple drills on hand, (i have 5 loaded), and be prepared to replace one or two after a large project like this.

PINKSTON- dimensions on stag cage/action packer 21"L x 15" W x 13" H. that is with lathces closed, need 3" clearance on each end for opening of latch.

Holy shit there are a lot of holes. Bet that was fun to make.

yea it really was, and i personally hate drilling, but this isn't the same for some reason. i suppose its the promise of the end product that makes it fun. although it certainly promotes carpal tunnell.:shaking:

there are 54 holes just in the main pan, i haven't made a full count of entire rig to date but guessing around 200 so far!

dude this looks really, really good. props man, i know it sucks now doing all the work but you will not even remember 6 months from now....quality is noticed long after the work is over

That thing is Nasty. I'd say one of the best looking buggys comming form the east coast right now!

Man thanks! That's comp is not taken lightly. Have to give big props to Jim's Garage for building a great platform on this chassis, every tube has a purpose and no fluff on his part, simple yet elegant. Has made my job much easier. Thanks again for ALL the compliments, and hope to see everyone on the trail this season.

no progress today thru thursday, gotta go out make alil mula. will be much from friday thru tuesday!!

let's have an impromptu poll;
need some help on color scheme/wraps/design. been struggling with what to do, wanna be as memorable with aesthetics as well as fabrication. so i need some help. tell me what you guys think. I have pretty well decided on satin black for chassis, as my wheels are same with metallic silver accents. also have purchased gloss white tins from RIDES, and really like the look of white on black. but definetly gotta stand out. also want to incorporate some vendor recognition on the rocker area of tins, all same color vinyl but with vendor's original insignias. not dead set on white of course, they can certainly be painted, also thought about shelby stripes similar to my real charger, idk? what does everyone like????

this was my initial favorite but is very similar to PJ's disturbed buggy , which in itself is a work of art and certainly don't want to take away from his awesome buggy
