Great Photos big guy. . .See ya at the farm

Getting ready for the farm! My lil helper Carter giving me a hand with clean up and dial in the crawler.

And tomorrow new shoes....racelines, 43" SX stickies...!!!

He fits between the crank and radiator much better than I do.

october 2011 petersen's 4wheel and offroad. great work on this build. this thing is definitely show and go from the events i've seen it at. i've seen a bunch of cool rigs from our area in magazines lately. east coast boys can build a sweet rig too.

Been awhile since my last update. Recently added some 43 sx stickies and 17" racelines. I believe are the best combo for me yet.

also at the last flats fundraiser, lost my oil pump on the jump and toasted my bottom end in the LT-1. So decided to step up and drink the koolaid. Soon i will be posting the install and details of the swap.

06' LS2, out of a corvette, with 25,000 miles.

Cooks Racing transmissions. Outside of Chesnee SC actual address is in Cowpens. Give me a shout if you want their number

i've got a guy here that could build your tranny. let me know. he builds stuff for 1500hp nitrios cars and such. been around the block a few times.

i knew that old lt1 wouldn't last long.

thanks tim and chip. i'll be in touch bout trans. If anyone has or knows someone with these items, please let me know.

-LS exhaust manifolds,( don't have room for headers), preferrably of the f body(car) or y body(vette) variety
-also need f body accessory bracketry; water pump, crank pulley, alt/power steering bracket and idlers

the factory corvette stuff has the alternator bout 6" to far outside of centerline to fit in my engine bay.

pleasse pm or call with any parts or info- thanks.

Matt, give David Minton a call, he may still have the manifolds he took off his. Also he will be a good source of info since he just did this change in his Jeep. He got a alternator relocation bracket that puts the alternator up beside the air intake, it's NICE! But, from what I remember, it's not cheap!
Also, might take a good look at your upper links. his LS engine''s oil pan was a good bit wider than the TBI engine he took out, so he had to spread them a little so the oil pan wouldn't hit, and hitting that pan is a bad thing since it's all aluminum.

These

or these will fit tighter than anything from the factory. I can's see a set of f-body manifolds fitting. Vette, maybe.

You may want to just buy an acc braket kit from wide open design. The low alt mount with the f body acc drive kinda sucks. There is no kit to move the alt with the vette acc drive you have now. The vette alt is about $300 anyway.

already have the vette alt and ps bracketry and accessories, problem is the alternator is to far outside the exhaust manifolds for my chassis width. 30" at shock hoops and with vette alternator on vette bracket, it will be 16.5" from centerline which would be 33" wide for clearance at shock hoops. been online most of the evening last night, alot of info for relocation brackets while using same or different beltlines,(f body, y body, and trucks), mostly from sandrail custom shops.

I'd sell that stuff complete. It's the poo to fit in a car where width is no problem, but length is.

yea thats what im leaning towards. seems its worth a small chunk of change as a full kit. then just go with aftermarket brackets and camaro pumps, pulleys, access.
