Copper Crawler buggy build

I wish my dad would have had a BadAss buggy when I was young! :driver: Heck, come to think of it, I wish he would have jsut had a 4wd vehicle! I envy you guys with young son's to share the experience with. I was 0-4 on having a boy and all my girls are...well girls :lol:

Been on hiatus for some time, with the occasional trail ride thrown in. Haven't participated much on the board. Here's the main reason why. ...

Is he flipping you off in that first pic? Lol

That's awesome, congrats!

On a side note, I think I saw you at the Lowes in Troutman a couple weeks ago. I would have said hi but you were on your phone outside when I was leaving.

Congrats on the addition to the family Matt!

I just read threw this entire thread and I must say this is the best builds I have ever read. The amount of craftsmanship that when into this build is simply amazing! My hats off to you sir you have built one beautiful rig.

Well, 3 years since I began the build on this buggy. Not much has changed since original completion. Biggest would be the motor. Lt1 gave up after a big jump at the flats, quickly sourced an ls2.

Breakage to date: aside from aforementioned engine and related problems with said engine=== ZERO. No links (some have slight bow), joints, belts, hoses, driveshafts, not even a u-joint; one stazworks wheel bent in the race at Uwharrie, but that's it. .... well there is that short on my cigarette lighter. ...:eek:ops:

And I don't baby it-ask redneck, brittan and landcruzin bout the 11pm crackhead run...

So really only changes have been asthetically and Armor;

New color scheme

And alil recent armor on my much abused rear truss. .

2" .120 split over the existing 1.75

Got a couple projects on the line, some for me and others. Really have the itch to build something now that my shop is complete. Contemplating a bouncer. .. don't know yet. ...maybe:cool:

Hell you basically got all the components of a bouncer in this buggy, but in a more comfortable chassis. Give Brittain a call, he might be able to help cure your itch.

Fuel cell replacement;

Rci unit split at Dixie run and they replaced it with a poly tank with steel container. Had to rework a little bit for fitment.

original set up :

Removed the tray to flush mount the cell with nutserts across the back
