Just read the whole thread. Amazing work and craftsmanship. I really hope to see this thing in person someday :)

Tomorrow my friend........

Huh?? Thought you loved the "cloud o titties"???

Cool. Can't wait to see the performance of coil overs on it.

It was really a clarity moment for me. Two buggies, mine and Jason Gillilands. We rode every trail ride together at Dixie, usually in direct line with me leading. My feel was obviously from the seat of the pants and visually from watching Jason's buggy. Both very capable rigs with comparable drivers; although Jason has huger[emoji465]

In regular technical crawling not much difference per say, imho, but at the most extreme angles, (variably nose up and /or canted, watching his buggy compared to my seat of pants feel, his suspension movement and control appeared to be much more stable and therefore giving him the appearance of more control.

Best example that a few members were there to witness was on the Winching Churchill obstacle. Neither of us grew a big enough pair but -outside in- his rig looked much more stable, zero unloading.

That was the -OK, I SEE NOW- moment for me. Certainly not the first time i have noticed it since running Ori's, but the first time i had a weekend long, obstacle for obstacle comparison. The Ori's are a great, high performance, easily packaged, economical air shock and work great for 90% of those willing to fork out the dough.

For those who do not want to be limited by their machine, but by there own confidence/capabilities ....huhm...[emoji465] i feel coilovers are the better choice. Having a capable machine with links and ori's helped me to find my limit, but i feel the c/o can move it further up the trail, so to speak.

Those that were witness, or my copilot Cannon feel free to chime in.

I will still use these ori's on another project and would profess to no one not to use them, but it's a clear picture for me.

I will chime in in the future with some tuning and seat time with the coilovers in the spring.

:stupid: this buggy is one of the most stable and well rounded rigs I have rode in until you get on extreme angles and the oris want to push off. it's hard to stop that after all it's still an air shock. can't wait to see the new extremes this rig will do on tuned coilovers.
