got to work a cpl hours tonight, finished the bumper/stinger/art, whatever the hell ya wanna call it
i like it much better with skin on it, think i'll keep it.
finally some time to get things done. decided to skin the sides of stinger, think it looks more like part of the body/car now. also the skins capture the headlight surround. also got radiator mounted and engine cage/done sans some sheet metal and I.D. clamps for removal.
got a few things done past cpl evenings. cpl more shots of reservoirs mounted. will have to raise the psc mount, the hose fittings will not connect without kinking line, therefore may have to add a bit of a hood cowl for clearances, if i place it anywhere else the hose routing will not be direct enough, things are really getting cramped in there.
reworked hood hinges and almost completed the cowl area. unfortunately, by using untraditional skins, (i.e. jeep, fj) there is no easy way to waterproof a cowl for key components. so far this is what i have come up with.
i am really enjoying using lightweight sheet and metal brake for fabricating rather than tubes and tabs, lends alot mor to creativity for me. i intend to use much more of this technique in the rest of the project, not to mention equivelent strength with less weight, albiet alil time consuming.
and the obligitory full frontal.
here's a good shot of the water channel on cowl. there will be weatherstripping on dash bar and cowl joints, and will put a few bead rolls for "guttering" when i have an extra hand around to help me roll em out.
