Wow you dropped the tank. I've changed quite a few of those over the years and didn't drop the tank.
I changed it twice and still leaked. So we dropped the tank.

Ah yea that o ring is a biatch. IIRC I put a dab of rtv to hold it in position. I could be remembering some other repair though.

i tried Vaseline with no luck

dang! the patina'd paint and graphics were awesome as is
are they painting the fenders too?
They are not painting fenders and have 2 small dents to fix. We just go it to a good point to let them do the rest
 
Bad news is the jeep is going back in 1 month. As a bird crapped on hood in 2 spots and hood is now messed up.

They left it outside today as shop was full and it was on the hood all day
 
Why we wait to take the Comanche back to fix paint we are going to work on other parts

He worked on headliner and trim today. Also pulled out old radio and speakers to prep for his new ones
