Just read an article talking about new maritime rules for lower sulfur diesel in 2020 and how that may impact overall diesel pricing. They are talking about diesel pricing going up as much as 30 percent. This is a cost increase caused by a shortage of low sulfur diesel and will take years to for refineries around the world to adapt and meet the demand so these higher diesel prices could hold for some time

so does this mean that we will also see the market flooded with used diesel trucks, and therefore drive the prices through the floor? Oh I hope so.

Yep, when I read the subject, I thought "great, diesel trucks will be affordable again!"

Meh, I'm sure Trump will find some reason to get us out of having to meet the emissions goal.

With all the electric cars saving the planet by 2020, there will be plenty of excess capacity, and the increase in volume of low sulphur diesel will actually make it cheaper. At least it sounds good.

When Diesel prices go up, they make the news and get good press. They make highway large gas engines for medium duty trucks....4.8, 6.0, 8.8, 11.1 liter motors, with a 15 liter in the works. Selling on lower fuel cost, no DEF, lower maintenance costs, etc.

(11.1 = 666cid, 15=900cid)

Rumor goes around that Spartan is coming back with an RV chassis, using a PSI motor...breaking Ford's V10 monopoly of the RV market.

Large ships run on bunker oil, which is thick barely refined nasty ass almost still crude oil. Most large ships are flagged in shithole countries to avoid playing by the "rules" of first world countries.
