CTB Windrock Ride Pics/debrief

Robbie Mozley for the inspirational words at the end of 15. "Your going to have to hit it as hard as your willing to hit it to make it up."

Kenneth telling ME "I said HUG the bank, not KISS it"

(I'm paraphrasing of course) :D

Something in my 70 let go. Pulled the diff cover to check the weld and all looks fine.

I'm pretty sure it's the shaft. It makes noise out near the wheel when you spin it.

I have conical washers soaking in pb blaster with hopes to pull it tomorrow.

Good luck, Toyota guys know your pain. The trick is to shock them out with a solid hammer hit or a chisel hit on the side.

Here's a few pictures from Sundays ride as I decided to stay a extra night to get some "mild" wheeling in. Me and a friend set our goal to make it to the back of the park to a cemetery. And since we were alone and it had been rqining all morning we wanted to take the easiest route possible so we planed a route consisting of mostly gravel one blue trail and a short connector single black Diamond. Somewhere along the line we took a wrong turn and wound up on a atv only trail that was unmarked. The pics I took were just barely wide enough for the truck and more off camber than the pics show.

After this we proceeded to another obstacle that we measured out and was one foot shy of the width of the truck. We turned around there and made it back to camp safely.

Y'all have me thinking about trying to make the August ride to Harlan. I will be in Harlan in May but as a passenger. I'd have to drive my heep there, which is kind of nerve wracking to think about.

Haha, our camp got molested by a possum sat night, we seen it that night, ran it off and figured it was gone. Woke up Sunday morn and it had ate a whole family size bag of Oreo cookies, half a box of fudge rounds, my spatula, and a pack of hamburger buns. I hope he had the screaming Hershey's all day.

So, you ventured out alone, & found some Interesting places. Those pics Scare me! One Hundred "What-Ifs"??????? Glad you had fun & came back Safe!

HAD to be pretty low, as he passed us like we were sitting still as we were going 75 up the mountain :D

TWICE
Somebody needs to get their speed check thing checked! I'm usually on cruise control, & was running 60, through Knoxville. The second time I passed, I was either 65 or 70. I was watching the mpg, & it actually showed better at 70!

See...you've got that winning charm, and charisma to get yourself OUT of those potential "performance awards" so you can CLAIM mechanical error like that and get away with it.

We kinda look like the rejects from an audition for extras in an episode of "Sons of anarchy" (except Dylan....he could pass for a Justin Beiber backup dancer :D ) so we HAVE to obey the law or face stiff insurance premiums
