Next week, several guys from my club and I are going out to Moab :D
Some guys are driving, some of us are flying out to Denver, staying the night there, then driving out. Using a rented JK etc. First time I'll be wheeling a nice vehicle that isn't a shackled together POS, lol.
Spending a week in cabins near town, days out on various trails. Can't wait.

Anyway, looking for specific places to hit for a sat afternoon/night in Denver. Never been there. I hear there are some good bars.

... and yes, I do know there are things legal there that aren't here...

Legal there....but my luck would get name drawn for a pee test at work the day I returned.

Many years since I have been in Denver (2x)....but it was a town I couldn't get out of fast enough.

Moab brewery, hefeweizen is on point. Hit Pritchett, everything at BFE then head east to Montrose.....oh wait, sounds like Yall are in mall crawlers and rentals:flipoff2:

Campus Lounge, best Mexican food in Denver

I used to live there, and I miss the mountains but that's pretty much it. There are some good bars and very nice restaurants downtown, but I'm having hard time remembering any of them.

Colorado cruisers operate in denver. It's another golf cart taxi business. see if you can catch a glimpse of it.

current plan:
Mon: Wheel Poison Spider Mesa, Golden Spike, Gold Bar Rim, Rusty Nail
Tue: Wheel Potato Salad Hill, Steel Bender, (+Flat Iron Mesa or BFE?) / Bike The Whole Enchilada
Wed: Wheel Pritchett Canyon, Behind the Rocks
Thu: Wheel Moab Rim, Cliff Hanger (+Kane Creek Canyon?) / Bike Amasa Back figure 8
Fri: Wheel Hells Revenge then get everything loaded up

Yes we'll have 2 rentals but they are double locked, 35s etc and this is a crowd that's been around the block. Well except my first time w/ a JK... some guys are bringing bikes and splitting off for 2 days.

Im more of a brewery guy, Fort Collins is worth the drive...just saying!

I lived there for about 7 years and went to school there. College towns are always interesting, especially with that many breweries. I miss the salsa bar and fresh tortillas at Los Tarascos.

Been there a few times,an that is a super tight schedule. Monday, leave out very early, that is a badass trail combo and it will take all day.Tuesday, steel bender is good, and with another trail too it will be a long day.Thursday, if you do Kane creek canyon that is a. Very lo g trail, will only have a few hrs to bike.

Oh and, if you want to wheel / watch others scratch on potato salad hill, go by it Friday, it is right on the way into hells revenge.

Make sure you go to the moab brewery at least once, great food and beer. The moab dinner is a badass breakfast and good dinner. If your in a hurry in the morning go by the chevron gas station , the breakfast burritos are awesome. The pizza place with the flaming tree out front is good and the Mexican restaraunt is good too.

Some guys are biking instead of driving on Tues & Thursday. E.g. not doing both.
Thanks for the tips.

We lived in Denver for 7 years and made 5 or 6 trips to Moab while we were there. Your Mon, Wed, Thur, Fri is nearly exactly what I would do. I really didn't enjoy Kane Creek and Steel Bender was a long day with only like 3 obstacles. I'd do Area BFE that day instead (that Tuesday). Then, in my opinion, it would be perfect.

Lodo's was the bar we hit the most. But as noted above, 16th street will offer everything.

Looks like a killer trip man!

I was gonna say the say thing. That is a lot of trails to get done. Good luck.
