That musta been the first time, the second time was when we really whacked it hard and knocked the bumper partly off.

I still blame my spotter. Coming around the 2nd time, he yelled "Hard left NOW!". After the whack I yelled at him, Why the hell did you steer me into that again?"
He just grinned and said, "I thought it would be funny."

Man what a race that was. That was me in the blue helmet trying to get Joe unstuck and trying to keep joe calm enough to not break the rest of the truck!! RIP Joe
 
Would anyone be up for an ECORS Reunion at DPG if we can get ahold of Trevor? Either there or the flats for a weekend this summer?

I wish we could bring ECORS back. Follow ultra 4 class rules and race at dpg and the flats maybe twice each. 4 total races for the year.

It would be fun...but neither Rob nor I have the time.
I'm not sure many ever grasped how much work went into plling off the events even as unorganized as they seemed at times. There was never an event where there werent 100 other planned things that didnt get done.
 
I never raced but I volunteered almost every race at the Flats. I was always the guy with a grill going in my area slinging viddles to weary passers by.Good times and I'm glad I could be a spectator.

I don't agree, stock class 4600 would be what A class was B Class would be 4500 and C class would be 4400. Not really any difference.

Kevin Crews...was an impossible to please loud mouth complainer...but pretty good guy when not in the heat of the moment.

I havent deep dived into it in several years but I think you will find current Ultra4 safety rules to be a step above ECORS

But yeah, I remember that guy. I thought it was terribly awful when he ripped his front end off.
