Congrats to Travis and Austin for their efforts in the D class, Travis won and Austin got 3rd. John Thomas showed everyone how to pull down second in the stock class competing in a Sammi on 30's , he outdrove the other 15 people in the class, all of which ran bigger tires, motor etc. Good job guys it was a fun weekend. I think they had about 50 competetors in all, a big event.

They had intersting course changes for the DD class which is what Cassidy, PJ and I ran (only us). They didn't prerun any of our courses and I think we all either 40'd or DNF'd the first course. The second course they changed as it went along becuae it was so difficult we couldn't even pull up in it. I don't think they've had too many full on buggys compete and that's cool I understand. Overall it was a great time and I never saw proof of insurance, permits or anyone of the 100's of people there ask or care about them. We were focused on having a good time and meeting new folks.
we did ride after the event that night. I'd read reviews of the place from people on this board with mixed feeling about the place. All I'll say is there were obstacles in the park none of us made and a several that we did make that were pretty damn scarry. I'd go back.

Congrats.. and why does it not surprise me much that JT whooped ass in a Sammi?

I'm just glad D class didn't get to run the bonus mud pit, cause the results would have been very different. I had absolutely no intentions of running it, and would have lost because of it.

Ya congrats guys, I've got a few videos of you guys going up heartbreaker, I'll get them up here in alittle bit....Still waiting for the autograph Greg haha

Awesome time... Saw some of the best action after the event i have seen in a while.. I would go back anytime... i believe you could have fun in anything at the gulches.. but if you want to go up any of the hardest obsticles you will need a stock sammi, 6,000 Rpm 3rd gear and an almost unreal amount of committment.

We had a blast, Hill climbs at night are always fun. Thanks PJ for letting me ride shotgun sat night. Dee gets the spotter with the best dance moves award, the Sprinkler with a helmet on = classic. Thats a hard act to follow

Heres one of Austin and Greg, I have another video of the turbo 22r buggy but I dont have it up yet. I'll get it up soon.

Sorry for the shitty quality, hope you guys dont mind me posting this up btw...just let me know if you do.

Greg was running a close second with the dance moves Friday night:lol:

We all got to go back down and cheer for Dee in the powder puff race.

I don't know why but it cracks my up when Greg digs at people.

More seriously, what safety equipment did you have to wear? Snell approved helmet? Fire suit? Fire resistant gloves/shoes?

I'm buying some of that stuff for a race in April and I'm trying to figure out how often I'll wear them.

It was all of that...10 points for a cone, 3 for backing up(maybe?), 25 or 30 for using front dig or rear stear- which i didnt really think was to fair...30 for touching the rig while it was moving, and maybe there was a few more or im wrong on some of the numbers.

Do any of you guys think that if it was based on time only...it would have been better?

Would it be possible? More fun? Too dangerous?
