So as many know i love to cook for lots of different functions, like work days, cub scouts etc etc. I have been wanting a better way to cook and serve from. After a lot of home work I found the military had what i wanted to start with, the MKT85 mobile kitchen trailer.

With some help from tacoma747 I will be customizing me one. He found me and purchased it for me. He will be picking it up for me in Delaware. Here are a few pics of it.

The canvas needs reworking and not 100 % sure what all is needed.

These are really cool. I met up with some of the guys from steel soldiers one year at group camp, and they had one of those. Looking forward to see what you do with it.

No way these were $145k. That is more than they paid for most models of the 5-ton trucks. It will say what they paid on the sticker on it, we will see... I could believe $14,500, as a regular M105 trailer was about $8,000
It was on the info you sent me....

ughhh. You mean I have to drive to Delaware again?

I sent a message to a guy that may have some sides for these, we will see what he says.

If you drive to Delaware you're going right past my house... next time touch base, we'll get a beer

Ok sidenote here.... You have to have the rear landing gear(the ones missing on mine) must be down to keep the tounge from raising up while walking in the rear!

Yea I bet you do, that tongue is light! I picked the tongue up AND lowered the landing gear by myself last night, that would be impossible on a M105. I am sure you have figured out now that the landing gear is a pain to deal with. No need to have gear that will lift 10k lbs on the tongue of a 4k lb trailer...

Little progress before lunch... Got the old canvas off, roof raised, set up the tables, removed the steam boxes, installed sink, plumbed sink and started laying out the burners.
