Repaired all the rust, professional paint job, dropped a 4.0l into it, all new brakes all around, matched D44 and D30 with 3.73s and traction locks. I’m just getting tired of the little things. I’m really debating cutting it loose.

For now, I’m just griping. I’m seriously considering sale though. If I sell the Jeep, the Warn 8274 is staying behind for use on a future early bronco build.

Pics for the fun of it.

I have another headache already in progress. It’s a 65 mustang convertible that came to me as a complete rust bucket. I’m finalizing the last of the structural work and starting body work in prep for paint late spring / early summer. See pics below. In the past 3 months - new parts include full floors, inner rockers, cowl, front and rear torque boxes, inner and outer wheel wells, quarters, tail light panel.

I know the 65-66 mustangs and 66-77 broncos inside and out. I enjoy the Jeep, but it’s not a true love like the fords.

As background… I had a 79 CJ7 in high school. I enjoyed it and wore it slam out. I wanted an EB at that time, but finding one proved to be difficult.

That Jeep went along it’s merry way. Over the years, I’ve had a 66 mustang coupe, 65 fastback, 73 bronco, 77 bronco. I have the 82 CJ7 and a 65 convertible now. I’d give up that CJ7 in a blink to get another EB.

Again - I like the Jeep. Just don’t love it. I love old fords. It’s my burden to carry, but I’ll handle it. I think that “like” mindset prevents me from having the interest to continue investing time and money into it.

If I get serious about selling, I’ll post a proper ad with price. I’m just venting for now. That may build into a decision to sell. Time will tell!

You’ll keep the winch for a future EB project… that you want to take on…after getting tired of all the projects on this very clean CJ. Soooo trade one headache for another?
Heck. Looks way complete compared to my "project's.

Me thinks @Jeffncs is just bored of it. I'd love a build thread on each of those you mentioned. Sounds dang impressive to me.

It's a Jeep. If you're not passionate about a Jeep, and know that it's much like attempting to please a woman: You may do it once, but the next hour holds the same challenge of repeating that task...for the rest of your life...it can be frustrating

I.E it will ALWAYS be something. And he's tired of that. Ready to move onto different 24/7 headaches:

@StretchASU has me pegged. I build, drive for a little while then move it to a new home. Same story.

Im trying to recreate some mistakes with the potential bronco and, maybe if I hit PowerBall, another fastback.

So what I'm hearing is there's a CJ7 to be had at a good deal, and in a year there will be an EB too.

I’d like to say that I’d keep the bronco long term to prove you wrong, but I’d have to take that day by day…

A few of you asked what’s wrong with it…
There’s a harmonic vibration when cruising in 5th (guessing pinion angle is off)
Really needs a softer lift kit and new shocks.
Newly developed grinding noise from the rear brakes (everything is new at all 4 corners)
There’s a weird screeching sound coming from the engine accessories or from the idler pulley mounted using a homemade bracket.

No one thing is catastrophic, but I have little interest in fixing it while focused on the 65 mustang.

Reality is that I’ll probably park it on my trailer at my rented storage location. Out of sight for a little while.

Remove the third leaf from the spring packs. 'Lift' springs are regularly too stiff.

You have a fantastic looking Jeep.
