So I would not recommend driving towards hurricanes. But we did for this July 4th weekend. I probably would not do that again. I was in my MCI bus and it was pushing me all over the road.

I was waiting for something interesting to happen.

I was disappointed.

This video was taken when we were very close to our destination. Had it been in middle of trip or sooner I would have turned around.

I hauled 5 tractor trailer loads of beer from Goldsboro to New Bern 4pm thursday to 8 am Friday (over hours, call the diesel bears! ) It was certainly crappy but not the worst I have ever seen. An empty 53' trailer sure makes one hell of a sail though !!

Looks like a normal afternoon thunderstorm in Fla....! I was almost right behind you until I found out Nick is coming home today. I'll bet the weather was beautiful after the storm passed.

We been in Oak island all week and waited out the storm.. Some roads were flooded but it was like a normal storm.

I rode it out at my folks house just outside of Beaufort. max winds here were 72mph. You could feel the house move. We received very little rain compared to Irene, and the storm surge was significantly less this time. Overall it wasnt bad. When the winds were out of the east/NE I was out on our porch listening to Jimmy buffett, having a beer, and a cigar.
