With this weekends race coming up being the LAST North Carolina Event of the year, it seemed only appropriate to do a give away on NC4x4.com.

We will select a post using a random number generator sometime around midnight thursday night so the winner has all day Friday to make plans to attend.

The winner will receive 2 Free Entry passes to this weekend's race, ECORS: Racin' The Flatlands in Marion, NC.

To enter all you have to do is:
1) Be able to attend and plan on attending should you win
2) Check out our website www.ecors.com and ask one question that you would like to know (about ECORS) that isn't apparent by viewing our website
3) Be a donating (red diamond) member on NC4x4

Good Luck and hope to see you this weekend.

If selected, can you just pass teh tickets on to somebody else that can attend?

My question - Who are the race teams? That link is blank.

In....

My name is so and so and I am new to wheeling....I dont want to race...yet, but would like to be able to run the course...after the races are complete.

Question...Will I be able to bring my jeep, and trail ride the race course?...after racing.

I didnt see anything on the ECORS site about this, and thought about going, but only if I could wheel a little.

Are there any side show rock crawl comps, scheduled for future ECORS events?

If your rig dies on the course will it be moved by ECORS or are you just a new obstacle in the course? I know at the DPG some of the course was tight which makes for good racing but could also slow the race.

in for a chance..

I like free stuff

question: I thought you were gonna build a new website? why not?

psst - that's not a question...

What kind of EMS are on site? Is there an bambulance on site or are the local ES aware of an event going on to possibly be prepared?

You can bring your own Jeep or truck to ride after racing is done.

There may be future rock crawl comps at future ECORS events

The Flats does not have grandstands for spectators. Bring your own chair. Some future venues DO

If your rig dies on the course and YOU cannot fix it, we will help you move it to the side or off the course. It may remain there until all racing is finished as we have a schedule to keep. We will do what we can to help recover your vehicle after all racing is complete.

Some venues allow dirt bikes and ATVs. However, The Flats does not allow these vehicles (sign posted out front). So, please leave those toys at home for this event.

Anywhere is OK to watch so long as you are not on the course or in an area that is roped off. The facility is small enough that hiking to a few good spots shouldn't be a problem. We are still working on allowing spectator vehicles to travel to certain areas of the facility as access will require driving on a section of the course.

The local rescue squad has been notified as well as the fire department first response team. Some EMS choose to bring an ambulance, some don't. Realistically, the on site EMS guys are there to provide professional services to aid in the event of an accident. Local ambulances are just a couple of minutes away if they are necessary. Some venues will have an ambulance or rescue vehicle on site if EMS and ECORS feels its necessary, and some will just have EMS persons available.

Sam in BUG - locked front & rear so I would have exceeded Class A

Its listed under class b which states no more than 1 locker, yet says locked front and rear?

Is this an typo/misplaced info or just a slip up on tech's behalf?

Never been to an ECORS race but looks very interesting after doing the reading.

B-Class Requirements

You must be able to say YES to 3 of 4 statements below

No more than 2 tunable vehicle supporting shocks (air shocks, coil-overs, struts, etc.) YES

Up to 40” tire, non-competition compound (no sticky tires) YES

No more than 1 locker NO

No Engine swaps or engines with non-factory forced induction (turbo, etc.) YES

So this is a viable B class rig.

Only 3 out of 4 must be met.

Great Question

piggybacking off the last question, Will Terry become the official ECORS food service vendor?

Lots of things go into each vendor's schedule and availability including prior commitments and individual requirements. So vendors may vary locale to locale, but I always look forward to a good HOTDOG from Terry

Will I get the chance to tear up Rob's buggy and leave it as a trail plug again for a good cause? (what do I win?:fuck-you:)

To expand on Rob's post, there are trained hired first responders at EVERY event that are there exclusively to provide medical assistance as needed.

At some locations that are more remote there will be an ambulance or two on site during all races,as was the case last October at Mountain City. Other locations that are more readily accessible there may not be an ambulance on sitee but there is always some form of quick response transportation at the disposal of the EMS team. We work hand in hand with the EMS personnel and take their guidance on the necessity of an ambulance on site.

For venues such as the Flats, in the event of need, given its proximity to the interstate, in the time required to stabilize any injured party the ambulance would be there.

Safety is always paramount at our events.

that option is available :D But, the cost is not free  damn studs and other things cost too much to hand it over to just anyone :flipoff2:

But really, it should be racing so long as the parts I need come in tomorrow :D

My questions (even though I know, but for the benefit of others):
What's the direction to the Flats (on ECORS' website, for non-NC4X4 members to see)
Why is there no info under "Race Teams"
Why are the directions to DPG still up and the homepage still shows the 2nd Coming event? Isn't the Flats the current/ next race?

These are just for clarification and to make it look a bit more planned.

Ron and Rob have called and asked me to post the winner since they don't have internet at the Flats....
Congrats to xjfreakho....
See you at the show!!!

Since they are all busy at the race I'll try and help out here...

Snappy is a sponsor, but thus far hasn't had a truck there as a "vendor" to sell stuff, in fact he's been a co-pilot (fall brawl) and driver (DPG and Flats) so been busy w/ that.
now, seeing and how it IS Chris we're talking about, if you make some arrangements/let him know ahead of time I bet he'd try and be prepared to work it out with you...
