So what morning shows do you guys listen to? Ever since I bought my Jeep and was able to pick up Rock 92 (my Dakota R/T didn't have good reception due to aftermarket antenna), I've been listening to the Two Guys Named Chris show. I used to listen to John Boy & Billy but they started getting too repetitive. I love 2GNC! My wife hates them, lol, says they are too immature, but :poop: on her. haha :)

and people still cant figure out why the divroce rate is so high!! :flipoff2:

John boy and billy for me, when i can tear myself away from the local talk show

101.1 Talk FM usually, or NPR, classical or jazz or last choice <insert some random radio station that's actually playing a song>

i normally listen to john boy and billy if i am around a radio in the morning. i used to listen to a little bob and tom when they were on 106.1 b4 the switch.

i can hear Bob & Tom on 106.5 out of Charlotte, but they annoy me. I drive through the Raleigh/Durham area on Saturdays and like to listen to the best of Bob & The Showgram or whatever it's called on 105.1.

XM radio.. I hate morning shows
X2 except I have Sirius. Not being able to listen to actual music on the radio in the morning like I wanted but instead having to put up with some radio personalities opinion or rant or silly skit drove me to satelite and I've never looked back.

XM radio.. I hate morning shows

Hmm, i listen to 158 (morning talk show) on XM..
About 15 minutes from work I'll switch over to the Ipud and play something loud.

i listen to 2 guys named chris on rock 92 every morning. the two of them and the rest of the group are a good combo. i find myself laughing hysterically quite often.

WBT 1110 AM. I hardly ever listen to music anymore, it is almost always newstalk radio for me during my commute.

Use to listen to JB&B, but they started going on too many vacations and there's only so many "Best of" I can stand. Then I switched to Bob and Tom... they were entertaining, but I guess I'm getting old now and Listen to the news on NPR.

Sirius Sat Radio. I have hated morning talk for the longest time. No commercials, no talking, just music, no matter what time i get in the car.Very easily worth the money. I don't even like riding in the wife's car cause of the radio.

If I want talk radio, I'll flip over to AM, on my drives in, I listen to whichever station doesn't have morning shows.

John Boy and Billy are the absolute most annoying stereotypical rednecks out there. Nowhere in having heard them, have I chuckled, grinned or laughed. The only thing that's good about their show is Robert D. Raeford, other than that, JB&B can 69 themselves.

talk radio sucks. If i wanted to listen to people talk i would go to AM.....but i want friggin MUSIC in the morning, but no they all have to talk and piss me off. Talk radio should be for AM only, fm for music. and i sure as hell am not paying for radio

All Things Considered on NPR
And on Saturdays, Car Talk followed by Wait Wait Don;t Tell me.

But when I want to laugh, it's 2GNC.
All the other folks laugh at themselves too much, like they think they are the funniest shiat in teh world (especially Bob and Tom). That drives me crazy.
Plus I like the fact that they are local.

If'n you spend the majority of your time in a vehicle, I could possibly, just possibly see it as being cost-effective, but for the majority of people out there, driving to and from work, running errands every now and then, and the occasional trip, nope, it just doesn't fit in for me, just can't see it. You could also point out the portability of Satradio, but I can point out the 30gb of music that I know I like and can bring where ever I want;)

Besides, when I do long trips (10 hour+), it's either the CB or nothing most times. The wife is reading, the kids are sleeping or watching movies and I'm enjoying the chatter of the CB or the silence, quite nice.

93.3-The Rise Guys out of Greenville, SC

I've started trying to catch Wait Wait on NPR Saturdays on my way back from Richmond. Sucks b/c I only get to hear the last 10-20 min of it every week b/c of the commute. Can't find NPR on the radio in VA coming down I-95 for some reason. I noticed I've started wanting to hear more talk radio than music, mainly b/c most mainstream music sucks these days. Plus, talk radio helps me stay awake. Too many years of falling asleep to music I guess
I agree on the Bob & Tom thing. They mumble and laugh way too much into the mic and I can't ever understand a damn thing they say. I like the lounge in the evenings with Kristin & Jack Daniel, though. but 2GNC all the way for me.
