whats the best way to cut a few inches off my fenders, i have a saw-zall and have heard of people using those but im afraid its going to be a rough cut is this true?

A sawzall can work if you go real slow and careful. I prefer a grinder + cut-off wheel.
A tip I found when planning to trim the WJ's fenders: "tape off the line you will cut and cut LESS than that line. that way if you mess up you didn't cut too far. cut right along the line but about 1/8th inch away. that way you can take the grinding disk and grind it smooth."

What are you trimming? Let me know if you need a hand...

I usually make 2 lines. Cut the outer one and use the inner one as a guide to bend under the lip for strength.

x2 on the cut off wheel. I used that on my buddies Waggy and it turned out good and didnt take long at all.

Sawzall can go quick, and easy to make a mistake. Jig saw will be slow, and it will mess up paint, not to mention the blades don't last too long.
A cutting disk seems to be the best.
If you are good with a plasma, and you have one, that works good too.

x5 on the cutting wheel. i used to to make half doors, and cut fenders in the past. like in the above post, use tape...take your time...and the bending up after cutting is a good idea too.

by the way, cutting wheels are fairly cheap (i got mine at lowes for 40 bucks) and youll need a few disc.
