So who here gets the flu shot, who doesn't? Your thoughts...

I never did til the kids came and the doctors pushed it. Since then sometimes I do and sometimes I don't. Haven't noticed a difference either way.

I have never had the flu shot.

My wife is required to get it every year because she works at the hospital. Some years it makes her sick for a few days.

I have never gotten a flu shot and "knock on wood " have never had the flu. I have heard to meany stories of people getting the flu after they got there shot.

I have never gotten it

recently I met a lady that just happens to be a scientist that works around the RTP area and her job is to help make the vaccine and she said she would never take it and would never let anyone in her family take it.. so I will keep not taking it

Knew a kid in the third grade who did die from flu complications.

With several babies and a 94-yo grandmother, I'll take all the herd immunity I can get.

Friend of mine got the shot cause he couldn't afford to get sick. Shot paralyzed him for 9 months. Another man in the area was paralyzed after shot. He still ain't right.

Guillain-Barré Syndrome is an autoimmune disease triggered by bacterial or viral infections, such as the flu. I used to work with a girl who had it after a flu shot.

Healthy people do not die from the Flu. I have had it twice. Once when i was about 8 or 9 years old and again about 3 years ago. My MIL had it three years ago when i had it, and she had gotten the shot. It did not help her. The flu shot is a guess and frequently misses the strain.

The risks heavily outweigh the "benefits" of the shot. Seen first hand what it can cause many times in my field of study. @trailhugger, seen that disease a few times, my grandfather was one of the victims

Some years I get the shot, some years I don't. I've never had the flu that I can remember. But I wash my hands all the time. And I hate shaking hands.

My wife gets one for her work. I don't, I'm not worried about some conspiracy or anything, just don't. Guess with lil man in preschool now it probably wouldn't hurt.

I get the shot nearly every year (missed once in the last 20) . I have had the flu twice, when I was 5, and the year I didn't get the shot. No other complications, and I seldom have had a cold. My wife and son both got the flu the different years that they didn't get the shot. Any year my son got the shot he had no flu or side effects. I will be getting one this year.

I was about to type the exact same thing. Kids get one every year, too. I don't think I've had one ever.

Mandatory where I work. We've gotten away from the shot and have been using the mist up the nose method the past few years. I'm sure it's placebo or bad timing, but I'm seem to get a cold every time I get the vaccine.
