That brought back so many memories for me as a kid. I had the same sled and well over 60 or 70 Stompers.....Hell Yeah
 
never heard of stompers before....but now I want some
 
I think the black Chevy broke a rear axle at the one minute mark
 
I had plenty of stompers myself. I even had a few off brand ones that had a 2 speed transmission. I remember the white CJ7 Golden Eagle was my favorite. Good times as a kid.
 
for reference how old are the guys who had "stompers"...just Ive never heard of them and they seem so cool, and like they would have been cheap enough for me to have ahd as a kid...
 
They still have something very similar at big lots (or did 3 years ago).

I am 36 and I think stompers came out when i was 8 or 10 and were popular for about 6 or 8 years. so that will give you a time line.

35. I swear I played with my first stomper for at least 4 weeks stright. Coolest thing a young kid could get back then.
 
I had Stompers... but never the sled.

I did have a couple of monster trucks (incl a Bigfoot) that were about 12" long and had 2wd/4wd and hi/low levers on the cab. I had a sled to go with those.

10-4 on the BigFoot and sled. How bout the pulling truck Orange Crush that was available with BigFoot....Hell Yeah. These toys and GI Joe was what I lived for
 
35 and had them. Still do somewhere as I remember Satan (ex) was wanting to clean my shit out of my house. Stompers 1, Satan 0
 
Strange....early 30s and never heard of stompers...I wanna go back to my childhood...I missed out. this coming from a kid whose "toy box" consisted of 14 matchbox cars and a carboard race track...stompers would have rules the bed room

Im going to find me some and give them to my kids....

They will probably use them to keep the PS3 and the Wii from touching.....little bastids

I am 34 and remember those stompers. Wish i would have kept mine :( Kind of funny to see my little boy with the new transformers, i still have 3 or 4 of my old ones. I let him look at them, but no touchy :)
 
I'm 29 and still remember playing with them. It's funny how old toys from the day seem to come back around. Does any one remember the animal? The 4x4 truck that had claws that would come out of the tires when climbing stuff?
