Found a 1972 Ford Condor that I can get cheap.

Has a 460 with c6 tranny, with 22.5" tires. A huge frame looks to be like 12" tall. Overall good condition but the inside needs to be ripped out and redone.

Just wanted to see what others may know about them?

Here a a few pics I took of it.

Well went back and look at it..

very solid frame and structure. all interior parts are there just not in correct locations :)

it was made in cali and guy found title and info showing it spent all its life in cali or arizona.. which makes sense since there is no rust anywhere.

but anyone have an idea on what rear axle this is?
found a tag that says 13,000 lbs for rear axle gross axle weight rating.

and you were correct 20" tires not 22.5"

Dana 135?

I think it's cool. I'd gut the rear and make an enclosed toyhauler. For a door, just cut off the back and make it a swing open door that has hinges on one side.

I need to figure out how to get it transported from Arizona to North Carolina.. any body got any leads?

if i can get it this will be a full RV no cutting the back open :)

I like it just don't know how I feel about the 460

Cheap? Would be like , how much they paying you, to haul it off!
Could win an ugly contest; Sorry man, just had to say it. 72, was the year EPA, made all manufactures drop compression, & run reg. unleaded. Hope it was built with a 71 engine, or exempt on emissions. Gotta know, your looking at 6mpg/@ 50/55mph!
[sorry bout the wise cracks]
NAAAAA:tongue:

Rear end looks like an Eaton.

A Ford Condor was the "aaaarr veee" in Nat'l Lampoon Christmas Vacation.

Here's the actual one from the movie. The article says it gets a sweet 3mpg on the highway. A 12v swap might double or triple that number, but I've got my doubts you'll see double-digit mileage out of it.

I think that if you get it, you've got to repaint it to look like that.

Jess would not be to happy with that paint job :)
