if this front 44 don't make it up at least couple reds before breaking...screw it and buying a 60
sir you sure talk a lot of trash about stuff you don't know. you obviously can't hack a 110v welder (i can weld 1/2"steel with it and HOLD...
i get you and can't stress enough guys that the way I work on customers vehicles is probably not even close to how i work on mine. that's as simple as i can put it. As hard as it might be for you to believe, I care very very much about people's safety and well being and safety is #1 when it comes to their vehicles so all bashing/jokes aside, I take my work on customers vehicles very seriously and make sure it's done 110% safe.Speak for yourself, but I hope to God Almighty that any of your past or future "customers" know that your attitude is "close enough for now." My emphasis added to the above.
its already been posted and when i get that bigger wire, i will be happy to...still won't prove that i can't weld everyday normal use DD vehicle applications for normal wear and tear but like i told the other guy, you can have your field day with it I'm suremartyjohn,
I made this offer to you before. Take your 110 welder, and 2 pieces of 1/4, 1/2, whatever scrap you got. Bevel it or not, clean it or not, and weld them up (butt). Mail them to me -- or probably some others will volunteer too -- we'll do a bend test. PM me for my mailing address.
Put up or shut up time.
DP
bout time someone brought this up: you won't believe me but I'll say it anywaysHave you ever thought that your vehicle is an image of your work? If I showed up to.have any kind of work done on something and the shop had a personal vehicle sitting there and I looked at it and they said it has a change and ehhhh its good enough I would probably turn around and walk away. People that don't know you will judge you for what they see, just like people on here. Would you go to the dentist to get work done on your teeth if the dentist was missing half his teeth and the others were rotting away?
nope...i would've felt bad for the guy thinking he didn't take care of his teeth growing up due to either neglect or finances or both and he chose that career path to maybe bless others with that affordable service trying to make a difference. But that's just me, I try to see the best in people which usually hurts me in the end but it's what I do my best to do.if the dentist was missing half his teeth and the others were rotting away?

i honestly didn't think it was that big a difference until i started with the .30 and "for me" i can tell more of a difference than expected...especially for the thicker stuff. On highest heat setting, .30 does not burn the 1/4 like i was used to with the other wire. i love it for thinner stuff but the thicker, i had to actually fiddle a little with settingsIf you can do it with .35, you surely can do it with .30
I call your bullshit.
fine but you gotta wait till i burn up this big role of .30 i just put in week ago cause i ain't cutting it to waste that wire but when i run out i will buy one small roll of .35 and be happy to weld your little 1/2"plates. I'm not sure what kind of testing you do (i think i remember you have machinery that does it) but I'm sure you will find a way to make a fool out of me but I can only speak for myself and several customers who have been very happy and successful with my work..including welding. Having this said, remember too welding a 1/2"plate for trailer hitch doesn't say much since trailer hitch doesn't have nothing of load on it compared to say a roll over down some crazy trail so i never claimed to weld thick steel for roll over crazy stuff but i merely stating that it's very doable with single pass too to hold up for your average DD, trailer hitch, some bracketry for normal use. any other uses than this and no, i take my stuff to a shop with 220 for peace of mind.
welcome to my world...not broke world but my world of I'm very very frugal and very very conservative...if you can't tell from my roll cage LMFAOIt's been a while since I've been broke, but I don't think I've ever been "Can't waste eight feet of flux core wire" broke
First off Jack ass ive never called your jeep ghetto. I have tryed to find weak spots in your "cage" never said I wouldn't build it or your stupid for doing so. Hell I came and helped you get your tire back on the bead at the flats. Second off my jeep hasn't even been in anyone's shop to have any work done, besides my axles going threw. Every part on my jeep beside bumpers were bought used. I lay in my driveway to work on it. It's taken me 5 years to get my jeep to where it is but it's all been done my myself. You talk alot of shit about people you don't know just like everyone else on here, excpet when someone calls you on your bull shit you blow up and cuss everyone.bout time someone brought this up: you won't believe me but I'll say it anyways
EVERYONE that has seen my jeep New and Old Customers has commented on how awesome and cool and beastly of a jeep it is. Sure we both laugh at a few things but honest to God, everyone loves the jeep WHY? cause the fact that i have a bad ass toy to play with, to trailer to a park and beat it all i want, roll it, pound it, brake it and not care. Not one person has ever told me my jeep is ghetto, not one.
Only you and people on here say this stuff because ????i guess you're naturally comparing my jeep/build to yours and others' that you have seen done more professional looking so you automatically have a comparison to go by but normal people who either have a DD Jeep or just normal people that come by with other vehicles think it's pretty awesome. again honest as i can be, all the comments on my control arms (my current ones in the pics on earlier pages) have been all good comments and how beefy and strong they look.
Lastly, I guess I'm not like you and others on here. If I went to a shop, and their personal/shop vehicle(s) looked anything like mine, my first thought would be a project, a beater, a toy, a buggy, a fun toy/fun car/truck whatever....i wouldn't judge their work until i saw what was going on inside the shop: cleanliness of the shop, organization of the shop, language in the shop, attitude of owner/operator and employees, music type and posters in the shop...these are the top of the list of what i would look for in a business to "judge" them on....not some stupid toy/project that might be sitting in their yard collecting dust.

don't have a cow dude...and I DIDN'T CUSS anyone. If you took that paragraph personally, don't cause that was me speaking in general to how i felt to your statement but was not directed to you only but merely to anyone/everyone....and you and everyone quit saying i "CUSS" yall out...what the hellexcpet when someone calls you on your bull shit you blow up and cuss everyone.

dunno bout you guys, but when I need to change wire diameter, I just clip the melt tip off the end, unscrew/flip the tensioner and wind that baby back up on the reel. load another roll. done. the only waste that Ive ever had is whats left that can't be 'pushed'.It's been a while since I've been broke, but I don't think I've ever been "Can't waste eight feet of flux core wire" broke
@Loganwayne show me where I cussed you out man cause that something I'm sick of people lying about me saying I'm always telling people to FU and FO and cussing them out one minute then christianizing the next....that does piss me off more than anything cause that's a huge pile of BS.bout time someone brought this up: you won't believe me but I'll say it anyways

don't know why i never thought of this....thank you very much, seriously.dunno bout you guys, but when I need to change wire diameter, I just clip the melt tip off the end, unscrew/flip the tensioner and wind that baby back up on the reel. load another roll. done. the only waste that Ive ever had is whats left that can't be 'pushed'.
but I live in the collective 'real world', so maybe thats the root issue.
village idiot??? ok maybe so.Your just the village idiot that thinks he's got it figured out way better than some odd thousand people that are members here.
While I realize that this is possible, I don't do it because I don't have to.dunno bout you guys, but when I need to change wire diameter, I just clip the melt tip off the end, unscrew/flip the tensioner and wind that baby back up on the reel. load another roll. done. the only waste that Ive ever had is whats left that can't be 'pushed'.
