i had a homemade trailer for a few years and everyone always said it was a pain to get a tag and title since it was homemade. well i went to the highway patrol office monday they told me to go to the tag office and get my #'s (vin) there. so i did cost 5$. went to northern to buy the stamp set, 20$ stamped my #'s on the tong and rear axle on tuesday. wendsday i went back to the highway partol office for them to check the #'s and sign the paper, free, then went to the tag office right after and got my title and tag (permanent) 125$ give or take cant remember exact cost. total of probably 3-5 hours including drive time stamping #'s and waiting in line 2 times at the tag office. total cost 150$ to have a trailer with a 14" deck be a legal permanent trailer. well worth the time and $. and dont have to worry about being pulled over for anything or getting a ticket for it. so all in all it was easy painless and well worht it. and the people at the highway office were really nice and helpful.

That reminds me I need to get the pictures to you of the trailer before it was painted. A couple rattle cans, some time, and a couple trips to the highway/dmv/etc and you have a nice trailer now. Goes to show not everyone knows what they are talking about when they claim "its a pain in the ass and not worth your time/money".
