Ghost in house ?

OK, I'm gonna throw this out there. I don't normally tell anyone this, but figure if anywhere, this is the thread. :lol:

My house used to be haunted. Yes, I said used to be. We took care of it.

We moved into the house about 5 years ago and I immediately started hearing things. If I was in the dining room I would hear a woman's voice call my name behind me. If I was anywhere else in the house, I'd hear it coming from somewhere else. I'd always think it was my wife, because what other woman would be calling my name in the house, but she was never home when it happened. Sometimes I'd be on the phone and hear it, so I'd yell down "hold on, I'm on the phone!" thinking she got home from work. 5 minutes later I'd get a call from her saying she's just leaving work.

Well, I never really cared much. I always believed in ghosts and all this one did was call my name, so never bothered me. Then one night I was working in the garage, my wife was upstairs in the bedroom, and my son who was about 1 at the time was sleeping in his crib. I heard the most horrific scream I have ever heard. I thought something had happened to my son so I threw down what I was working on and flew up stairs. My wife was just sitting there reading a book, said I was as white as a sheet of paper. I knew we had to do something, calling my name was one thing, screaming at me was another.

Another thing that would happen was my son would never sleep through the night, ever. He would wake up at about 3-4am every night, I'd go in and lay him back down and he would be fine the rest of the night.

The next day my wife was at work and talking to one of her friends and told her what happened. She mentioned that one of the other ladies there talked to ghosts. We figured it was worth a shot. She came over the next night. We just sat and she told us to close our eyes and she started talking, saying "this isn't your place anymore" and "you need to go be with God" and things like that.

Then a strange thing happened, I felt like I was being bear hugged. Like someone was behind me with their arms around me giving me a huge hug, and then it stopped. Not 5 seconds later my son woke up. This was at about 8-9 pm. We put him back down to sleep and he slept through the night and has ever since (except when he is sick and stuff like that). We haven't heard any voices since either.

I swear whatever it was gave me a hug to thank me, and then went and said goodbye to my son.

So yeah, that's my story. :)

Those guys are idiots, call the Ghost Hunters instead. they go into debunk your claims not Dramatize them.
I have lived with paranormal activity before. it got to the point of being pretty mundane... but then again, I've not had anything whisper in my ear while taking a leak in the middle of the night. jut Doors slamming shut, Windows slamming shut, crashing noises. When you go to check it out, everything was in it's place. Also an oder in one specific spot.
 
Yes there is a ghost in my house to. the previous owner's wife we think she died in the houe maybe 6-8 years ago but they had a grandson that stayed with them a lot and sometime's i will go upstairs and the radio will be on or ill hear the toilet flush upstairs when i know that no one else is up their

good story. Its a good thing you had good ghosts who were willing to leave. It might be harder to get rid of the kid who poisoned their parents!

I believe in ghosts, etc, because you her this stuff occassionally, and it all seems pretty consistent from story to story. I can't say I've ever expereinced anything personally to convince, but it seems like there is too many similar stories out there for it not to be true.
 
My doors shut on there own to, its the draft, My moulding around the window vibrates its also the wind. As far as the sheet getting pulled off. Prob a Nightmare and he kicked the covers and it woke him up, I sure we can all rember how vivid our imagination was when we were young. Not tryin to talk any :poop: at all. Sounds like most you your GHOSTS could be explaned. I would not worry about it. Unless you and your faimly enjoy the scare.:beer:
 
last night was a weird one about 230am my truck alarm goes off . so i jump up but ass naked grab my handgun run to door as soon as i open door it stops. Only key bob is in my pocket hanging on the bathroom door. So i think maybe its going bad i take battery out of it and hit the bed again we will see if it happens again. I have called and email a few people. Hopefully someone will tell me what to do I do not mind it being in the house as long as it is "nice" ghost. But i need it to stop scareing my youngest boy My oldest just laughs it off and calls it name if it does sumething to him. I have spoke out loud (felt like a retard) to the ghost and told it we was not leaveing and we needed to get along. I feel like such a retard about this but kinda getting to me

so you've had conversations with the gohost, and he/she has told you its not leaving? I guess you need to learn to get along or GTFO.

covers and pillow if it was near his bed i would say your right but its across his room 12 feet away
Molding on a window yes wind moling on a bathroom door no wind in house.

Alot of ya know me and know im not the type to get in to this BS but this weirding me out to much going on. maybe it is just a bunch of stuff happing and we are over reacting if so how do people that had no idea we thought we had a ghost see shadows moving and hear people talking. Maybe its just us over reacting I really dont know

Damn...I had no clue there were so damn many folks that believed in this sorta stuff. I'm 100% a believer too. I figure it's ignorant to say 'No, something doesn't exist' just because you can't explain, you haven't seen it or have no experience with it. My mother is kinda big into this stuff and has all the Sylvia Brown and John Edwards books. But as the one 'exorcism' went that was explained, that's how it sounds like the majority of them happen...'it's ok, you can go, you're not needed here anymore, yadda yadda yadda.' Then there also seems to be a 'bad spirit' exorcism where you just say 'you have no power here, you need to leave, you're not welcome, blah blah blah.' I said that, because I don't feel you need to get a professional or group, but rather be open minded, focus and believe what you're saying. It could also help your son if he ever feels freaked out.
 
lol x2 on the cats.. I bet it's because ghosts can't stand the smell of ammonia. You'll just have to get over it! My wife has like 4 cats, no ghosts in my house.. :D
 
My ghost would scare the hell out of my cat. One time I heard the cat going ape shit upstairs and he came flying down with his hair like a giant fuzzball bouncing off the walls. About 30 seconds later I saw something go through the room and out the window. :lol:

Look up stories about the Demon Lilith. She was the first wife of Adam, created before eve as an equal to Adam, not subservient to him.

She is now a demon who terrorizes children. Folklore has laid the blame of SIDS on lilith.



I'm just saying.......it's in the bible......take it for whatever you think it means.
 
All your stories happen in the bathroom or sons bedroom. Good luck with the 20 or 30 cats no one will live there after that. By the way did you see where I said MOVE and what ever you do don't get a weggy(sp) board.
 
OK so now I'm getting freaked out. I tracked down PO of the house. I told them who i was and then i ask why they sold the house to the company i got it from. They said because they had little kids a 1 year old and 4 year old and the kids would scream and yell if left alone in a room and they figured it was because they where young and house was to big for them since they moved had no issuse with it. Then i told them i thought it was haunted and he pause for a second and ask me if i was for real. I said yea he call me crazy and hung up on me WTF lol i guess maybe i need to look deeper this shit is weird but i like the fact i might be learning something new here or seeing something new BTW im not scared of it . People that know me can tell you if i cant explain it or firgure it out i will keep trying and trying untill i figure it out . Thanks for every one help

Seriously though man, I don't take much stock in the whole ghost or supernatural stuff... but if you're worried about your safety or your kids safety I'd sell it and find another place.
 
Like I said in my earlier post, I have been a believer for a long time. What started it for me was when I was kid my grandfather had a little music box that looked like and old paddle wheel boat. As kids we were never allowed to play with it especially after he died. So it just sat on a high shelf and never got played. Well one day years after my grandfather had passed my grandmother (living alone at that time) was doing her puzzle in the living room where the music box was and it just started playing. It played one full rotation start to finish and that was it and never played again. Now, understand this thing had not been wound up in at least 10-11 years and it played all by itself. The spring is not broken since it is still in working order and to wind it you have to turn the paddle wheel on the side. As a kid this creeped me right the hell out but my grandmother just teared up and told me that it was grandpa telling her he was okay. So I just took her word for it, but been a believer ever since.
 
I have had several strange experiences in my life . When I was 14 I was sleeping at my cousins grandmothers old plantation house in eastern shore MD I saw 2 Older African American men enter the room I was too frightened to scream . They walked through the bed and disappeared . I have been touched I was in a old abandon house on my uncles farm and was told by something to GET OUT!!! ..On that note I left I have never been back
 
I know everyone is sharing their experinces. I have quit a few myself. The one that seems to pertain the most is as begins. My wife and I purchased our current home from a widow lady. The house was built in 2002 so this can be associated with newer houses as well. When we bought the house the lady said that her and her husband had the house built for a retirement home and that he had past away and she was moving to do mission work in Georgia with the church. We bought the house and are still living in it today. Well last year around June my wife and I were sound asleep when the drawer on the night stand next to my side of the bed slung staight out. This startled me and the dog was asleep in the floor and took of running. I automatically closed the drawer. I thought there maybe and intruder so I walked all aound the house and found nothing. Sounds explainable I could have opened it in my sleep but I was rolled over in the opposit direction and it awoke me and my wife at the same time. Maybe the dog pulled it open somehow? Possible but highly unlikly as the drawer weighs 30lbs or better and it is high 30 inches or so off the ground. The dog which is very protective would continue to growl towards the bedroom door at 2:30-3:00am everynight. Then my wife who didnt belive in anything of that nature said that she thought something was in the bathroom and going to get her. I asked some neighbors about the people that owned the house before and low and behold the man had past away in the house. I thought that it was odd we had not had any previouse problems as we had lived here 3yrs already. Just as fast as it came it went away. I intend it to stay that way.
