Anyone got any recommendations?
They need to have insurance, since the huge gum tree out back is leaning right over my house.
Granted if it takes out the deck, I'd thank em.
First quote I got was a lot higher than I expected. It's going to be 3 PITA trees, and 5 or 6 easy trees.

Figured I'd ask here instead of hitting the yellow pages.

Thanks

chris if i were still living in raleigh, i'd come get that gum tree out of the way. since its a few hours away for me now, i cant. theres a tree service my uncle used after fran that did great, he had over 125 trees fall and they seemed pretty reasonable. i'll call him up and find out who exactly it was

J&D Tree Pros are out of Cary. They specialize in high risk removal. They use a crane. They removed a large maple from my back yard- parked the crane in my driveway, hooked to the tree with a cable, dude cut the tree at the bottom and they lifted the tree over my house. With one cut tree was gone in 20 minutes. It was reasonably priced as well. It was truly amazing to watch this. Get a quote at least.

Chip Henderson... I believe he is in Creedmore. He pulled a tree that fell on my house off and cleaned up all the trash. Did a great job and very fast.

Yea, more concerned with insurance, (it shouldn't be a problem, BUT) and price. :)
We're planning on doing a pool around back eventually, so tearing up the yard doesn't matter either.
It's 10 trees, and I'm getting quotes of 3200+
:(
I guess I'm just cheap.
I was hoping 2500 would be possible. Oh well.
It's kind of funny, so far they have all had a different one of the trees they said would be the biggest PITA.
(None have chosen the one that scares me the most because it's leaning right over my damn house.)
