Google "Chrome" Browser

I am a pretty rational and sane person, I do not believe the US sabotaged the twin towers, that Elvis is still alive, nor that the moon landing was a hoax; howeever Google scares the shit out of me.

Never before in the history of the world has a private company held so much information about the citizens of a given country. Seriously if anyone has done any infrastructure work with Google you can prolly understand that shit is scary. When you talk about individual data centers with enough infrastructure to support entire cities, entire large cities (think Houston, Chicago etc.) you wonder why a web browser needs that much capacity....

No thanks on the chrome...I am seriously a bit scared off Google.
Street view today, internal view tomorrow.

eh...chrome wont go far once the cable monopolies put a band width cap. the whole point of chrome is massive bandwidth usage, i.e. internet television, movies, things of that nature.

I was researching it this morning, couldn't find it via Google, they had the site down... looks like they re-posted it? Wonder what teh deal was?

Installing now...

I'm kinda w/ Ron though. it really is pretty scary, the shear size of the information that this one company has its grips on. You really do have to wonder - what happens to all the history of what you're searching online?

It wasn't officially released today until after the 2PM (EST) videocast launch...

With all the issues the federal government has keeping our "data" safe, I'll take my chances letting Google record where/when I go on the interweb... they couldn't be any worse! I've got nothing to hide (except for Joel & his monkey)

However, those of you into kiddie pr0n, "alkieda", :alien: cover-ups, and other things of interest to the DHS, FBI, & CIA... they've been watching you! :flipoff2:

And many apps have stroke loggers.
IOW Google databases have your banking info and your password and you SSN and your home address and a picture of your house and its GPS coordinates...and the word Google was coined by a russian immigrant.....DO DO DO DO Dummmm

I think that my school is going to start using it soon.....they are big on google.....all of the students were asigned school gmail adresses and the teachers get all bitchy when we use non assigned email addresses

Don't like it already. If'n they fix it to where the stupid suggestions quit coming down, I may like it, also the bug with my touch pad, it doesn't scroll up.

I did exactly what the directions said on the "auto suggestions" and turned it off, yet they still come up, even after clearing the entire browsing history.

So for me, it's a thumbs down until the bugs get worked out.
