Thats exactly what I was talking about.
Just read the whole thread... 5k would be very competitive... I feel like you could build a shit box competitor for about 2500. Looks like a ton of fun that I just can't afford right now
What kind of shocks are we thinking about? I saw talk about using a spec shock, and I think that's a great thing to do. Has there been any talk about what kind though?
I am actually biting my tongue here because I see quite a loophole here regarding ride height...

Excactly! Everyone can see the grey areas, much like piles of dog doo in the yard. That's why,by entering this class, everyone should agree to avoid stepping in the poo(grey areas)rules... if you've written them in the past, its easier to see the gray areas
But ya gotta admit, by only using 1 kind of truck...It simplifies the entire equation.given the questions I received from ECORS racers about rules (both black and white as well as gray), I guarantee yall haven't even scratched the surface of the "gray" areas yet and there are many, many more "piles" (as Dylan says) than you can see
Year 1 was pretty loose, by year 4, rules were put in place and worded to eliminate or reduce gray areas and I expect this will be the same.
I'm going to build my truck according to the rules that are laid out
you are full of if you think anyone believes that!!!
Not really. Can't modify the arms or the mounts. That gives you a little flexibility in ride height, but not much.
Did you ever ask how much you could raise the hood to cover the tops of the shocks?

Upper mounts can be moved wherever re -read...
I'm not talking about shock mounts. Talking about pivot and radius arm brackets.
And where is wheel base addressed?
That's what it should be about. If we want to build a 'race' rig, there's plenty of other classes/divisions for that. This should be all about fun, not necessarily who can build the biggest baddest fastest rig. JMOI have faith in the mission statement and idea of the bro lite class.
Just follow the rules as intended and go play! Keep your cost under 5 g's and don't cheat...Lets just go have some fun and put on one helluva show.
