Guns drawn on Richland Rd

He is the dumbest of the bunch. Talking mad trash to two men with guns, then coming at them with a bat! FAIL.
Oh yeah i totally agree but dead people dont breathe so he is not a mouth breather.

I’d really like to know the outcome of that video.

As for Richland Road, it sounds as if the last year and a half Richland Road has just become a place that I do not feel is worth going to anymore. It was fun but not worth all the BS that has been coming with it.

The two were charged with murder and bonded out at $25,000 each. Then they decided that was too low so they picked them up again, this time $250,000 each. It just happened sept. 1st.

I have a friend that lives off the road, it has turned into a big pissing match! Gates, firearms, etc... The law is not going to a lot at this point (from my friends on the force). I think that it should be left to "cool down", then have clubs contact land owners and organize rides and improvements for the road systems. They are madder about destruction of roads and personal property, than people riding! 10% of the people cause 90% of the problem! I think we can save this trail if the cards are played right. Remember Tellico.

You are correct on definition and legality, it's just getting "hot" down there. I don't want to see anyone hurt, easier with honey than vinegar.

I get your stance on this. However its best to know when to bow out. I don't gamble, much less risk my life over a sudden test of my priciples. And like the swamp incident the world hasn't changed much evil men still do cowardly, sneaky evil things. Know your enemy and his numbers.
If it where to ever involve family the stakes go up, threatening another grown man is one thing full family is another. Pulling a firearm is just plain "yellow". I had similar event occur on the land I live on. My son and I where ridding and was threatened by hunters who payed good money to hunt.....their ignorant asses didn't know I was married in....they don't hunt anymore.
I've also ran off everything from people dumping trash, to target shooting of all things. Each time I made sure my approach and the deck was in my favor. I carried every time and I wasn't I pussy pointing firearms to get my point across. Its never simple.
The Richland Road thing seems like it's going esculate possibly. I would not go in any single party outings. Multiple vehicles and multiple media recording resources. If the person who got approached could go back, I'd purposely try to get footage or recorded admission of the threats or a similar situation. Then press charges. Get evidence and nail that a hole to the wall.
Very true statement and I agree with a lot of it! I am one who likes to gamble and in that situation as I’ve been in before when I was a drug user back in my youngin days my fight or flight doesn’t allow me to bow down unfortunately! I have actually been shot at on more than one occasion, lucky for me the guns were in the hands of complete idiots, I’ve had multiple guns in my face , been robbed once and have fought back every time possibly out of ignorance, but instinct took over every time without my thought process thinking of consequences.

I’m no badass, weapons specialist, trained soldier or cage fighter, I was trained by some badass decorated USMC combat vets family members tho most of my young childhood until my teens on weapons respect/training and Hand to hand CQC and that may be my problem about not backing down I dunno? but that’s how I was raised I reckon!

I’ve backed down from many fights in my days knowing I’d win some and possibly lose some bc it wasn’t life or death situations and no weapons involved but firearms/ weapons and intimidation I’ve not been able to stop myself to act! I may just be foolish who knows may just be a lil crazy...lol I recently had a knife pulled on me 2 years ago in a parking lot by a pos and went at his direction after pulling my belt off for a weapon, he tossed the knife in his open car door and covered up trying to climb in, I never struck him just showed I wasn’t being intimidated and he realized it quickly other occasions not so much To each their own tho I respect men bigger than myself that can walk away from situations like that I truly do but my mind simply won’t allow it! I’m prolly just crazy tho... again I repeat I’m no online badass or real life badass for that matter I’ve just never had flight in my DNA! Nothing personal to you @WARRIORWELDING the situation these guys have been put into just pisses me off and I’m sure some of y’all can relate even tho it wasn’t even yourself!

I tend to stay out of threads like this due to my respect for the forum owners. They know exactly how i think about the world in general.
Now, @GotWood is a personal friend of mine. If he sez his friends were threatened by some assholes while doing a LEGAL activity, I am glad they stood down and lived to fight another day.
However, if they want to go back to this area. I wish to go as a liaison and "observer".
Stuff goes South?
I'll be Overwatch. They will never know what hit them or where the red dot came from.
Be mindful of who you fawk with.
Just sayin...
'Dre out.

I am appalled these are humans....He antagonized an armed individual and put his wife in danger. I quit the internet today

All because of an old mattress one of them put in a dumpster. Morons.

This type thing has been going on around Richland road for at least 20 years, that I know of.
In all honesty the road isnt worth driving for the chance of a bad encounter like the OPs friends had.
But my stance is that no person should be able to intimidate other people away from using a public road.
This is why I will still ride through the area every time I have time and am down that way.
Of course with the go pro rolling just in case someone decides to pull that shit again.......

1983 I and some friends snuck into sugar lake in the spring before it opened. Somebody had cut the fence along the road and peeps w 4wd had been sneaking in for a week or so before we got there. I and my girlfriend stopped @ the bottom of the hill as the path comes to the lake, while the rest went on to the beach. I was fishing, my girl was sunbathing when the BIG old man who owned/ran the place walked up. He had a pistol in in his hand and he was mad as hell, so mad he was shaking as he yelled and cussed at me. I was sure he was gonna shoot me. I tried to calmly apologize to him but he was enraged. I think he might have shot me if my gorgeous girlfriend had'nt ran up and started crying. He finally calmed down a bit and told me to get my friends and leave. He was waiting/blocking the road when we left and scolded us all again and we never snuck in there again.

And it's not a show of force at that point. Which is exacy where your coming from.;)
I loathe the day I'd have to use my firearms for anything other then target or hunting.
Like a friend and veteran told some mouthy kids in a parking lot......killing any human for any reason is something you live with for the rest of your life.

Travis is a good guy!! I deployed with him in 05-06.

Small world we went to HS. Together. Only dude I ever met who rolled a pristine factory straight axle Yoda on the dirt road before Richland.

Zero drugs or alcohol either. Best we figure it slipped of the side and in his fashion he nailed it over corrected and caught a lip.

Damn stangest thing coming around a corner and him on his lid.

Which part?? The part where folks volunteered time/money to do work there to improve things and they closed it anyway??? yeah I remember!!

We were playing in a mud hole one weekend. He had to pull me thru the first 2 holes to get in. Then he knocked a tire off the bead. I had to pull him back thru the holes he just pulled me thru. No locker, stock gears, half tread 35” BFG all terrains. Lots of rev limiter. That would have been back in 06/07 sometime.

A friend took his wife for a ride across Richland yesterday for their anniversary and were confronted by some individuals claiming the road was private property. They never left the road but the individuals did pull their side arms and point then at my friend and his wife. A lot of screaming and cussing but that was the end of it. Be careful if your riding through.
Then you were trespassing because I know for fact it’s gated top bottom n middle. It is privately owned and has been since 1983 when it became an abandoned easement or easement of abandonment, which means it reverted back to the landowners from the state. Not mention it IS hunting season here, which I live 20-25 minutes from the end of the RR trail. I’m also good friends with the landowners

No it won’t be since the EPA got involved with in 2017, and began pressuring the landowners because if dead trout

Your statement about those who did offer to help maintain the road, was not accepted by the landowners. Thevlandowners deciddd try did not want to feel as theyvowe the Offroad community for said help on the area
