After talking with a few people I came up with this idea..
How about we send a wheeler care package? Packed with items like paperware, spare fluids, gas cards, sunflower seeds, jerky, drinks.... Basicaly if can sit in the shop till needed for a wheeling trip type stuff.

I will take care of shipping on the package. SO what does NC4x4 say?
 
I'm in. From reading his thing over on Pirate, looks like he is getting ready to do alot of changing.

Maybe we could pitch in for helping on his jeep or something like that also.
 
Got an email saying basicaly has most for jeep other than a ps pump. Will update with exactly what he needs...
 
not sure which he needs but I am willing to offer up my entire hyrdo steering setup that was on my race XJ

came off an I-6 jeep 4.0 engine.. has PSC pump, with smaller pulley, redneck ram hyrdo ram, and hoses, aluminum cooler and tapped XJ box.. it is all in a box ready to ship

It sounds like he really needs/wants a high-flow TC or P pump for that 4.0L, and it appears he's got the rest of what he needs for steering--ram, orbital, fittings. The ram mount on the Ruffstuff axle and the steering column pretty much need to happen locally.

This is the message I got on pirate with what is needed for his rig after that, I beleive it would be easiest to just take up money and do some gas gift cards and other roadtrip items. Since Yager knows Gavan, I have asked him to do a shopping trip with myself and anyone else that wants to go. I have a full plate for the next week or so and feel Gavan needs a few weeks to get items in order so I will set up something around the 10th if that works for everyone....

he also got his jeep moved to a local guys shop in texas and ruff stuff is now building him some new axles for his jeep.

he is staying very busy which I am sure helps and he said lots of people have been bringing him good food to eat..
 
I've seen ads for that Peterbilt. Seemed pretty nice... and not too expensive, IIRC.

Gavan made the trip to SC and picked up the pete and is headed back to texas..

Yea he got a sweet ride there. I think if he makes it into our neck of the woods a group ought to get together buy him a couple of :beer: help him along his way. Idk how that would work out or if there would be interest? I cant even promise I could make something like that but it crossed my mind when he mentioned he bought it on pirate and was looking to make a run to this side of the map.
