Grew up in Winston....KK's birthplace.I don’t know what KrispyKreme hot n ready glazed are…but that. And you couldn’t tell by looking at me, but I don’t really care for any doughnuts beyond those…even glazed KrispyKreme that are a couple hours old, I’ll pass.
Welcome to the board. How much did you pay the OP to the start this thread?I own the Black Mountain Doughnut Factory... we do yeast. Cake is way easier - no rise times, no variability with humidity/pressure, basically like making pancakes in a fryer. Only trouble is they are also way harder on the fry oil. I use rice bran, and it's a main expense. Gonna add cake donuts back once I've got a second fry setup. Stop by sometime
And I will definitely swing by the next time I'm in that area. But you need to have an NC4x4 dozen, which is actually 16 donutsI own the Black Mountain Doughnut Factory... we do yeast. Karen was her "Friend" until she stabbed her in the back and basically got her blacklisted so she could take the promotion they were both in the running for. And this was after she and I split so I don't have MANY details..but my ex-wife and I are still friends. Her name wasn't Dawn or Karen, was it???
This stems from a discussion me and a friend of mine where having. (not on the form) But I was wondering what the response would be if I put this out there with very little input of what side I wanted to win. What the results would be? Will this end the debate on what is the best donut? No, but it did a few things. How the fuck is this thread helping settle the debate?
3. Most importantly it has proved me right that as of now there is a 2 to 1 that yeast donuts are the best.
