Cue potato gun thread...
Time to call the snipers. Sounds like an act of terrorism to me.
The thing I find ironic is that they lock down an entire college campus because someone carrying an umbrella in their backpack is mistaken for a terrorist, yet a group of BRIGHTLY colored uniforms with full rappelling gear manages to infiltrate a rather large energy compound.
...Security was not at the post 911 level yet, but lets just say that the local cops didnt think it was funny and treated them a little roughly. I guess they figured the whiney lil' bitches were going to cry about thier treatment any way might as well kick a few asses.
I'm sure this isn't accurate, but it sure looks like I'm right....
And honestly, I don't care if I'm accurate or not.

Yeah, like this, or very similar:
It's sad that anyone would think this is acceptable behavior from LEOs. It's the court's job to punish people, not the police.
I thought it was funny. The guy inside the coal car at the plant was tresspassing. He didn't accidentally arrive there.
Fidiots
Fart... It sounds like you might have recieved a little of this somewhere along the line. I think I would rather have a boot in my ass than pepper spray in my eyes. Just saying. The cops had all the right in the world to arrest them. That's what they're being paid to do.
Assault > Trespassing in the grand scheme of things. Cops don't need to take the law into their own hands; we have judges and prisons for that.
No, it's just one I googled. The one here in Sherrils Ford has sides built around both sides of the rail car, but it's the same concept. Is that the one in Sherrills Ford? My friends used to play on the ash piles there (I know, not very smart).
Those train cars would be let go and roll down the tracks and slam into the front cars. The trains were the loudest part of the plant.
If any of you have never toured the plants, you should. They are really cool.
I have been in a few late night, ummm... heated discussions at race tracks. If the cops get a grip on you, they are doing what it takes to deal with the situation. If I am there, swinging fists, I am asking for it and know its coming. If I catch a cold while running around naked in the rain, I deserve it. The serverity of that cold may or may not be proportional to the length of time or the temperature of the rain, and it really dosent matter, since I am the dumbass running arround in it. I get whats coming to me.
I dont think we were talking "Rodney King" here. Just smacking around a few anti authority, overly enlightened, punk ass, sense of entitlement carrying, Warren Wilson College attending, patchouli stinking, bumper sticker printing, never worked a day in thier life, looking to make a difference in the world with a 10 dollar banner from Kinkos, activists. They are grown on campussys... um... Campuses everywhere and the fact that they believe it will make them a front page hero and the cops cant really do anything to them makes them pseudo brave. Well... Out here in the real world, you can get the smart slapped out of your mouth if you dont respond to and respect the law. Especially when you have endangered innocent people that have to jump into a coal hopper to hand dig you out before the weight crushes your lungs and you die.
Is it polite? No.
Is it perfectly correct? No.
Was it deserved? Yep.
Ya know, if they didn't get any press, they would just go away. I mean imagine if your wife/girlfriend went to the top of a smokestack and nagged, would anybody hear her?

Life is a see saw. If you ask a 300 pound gorilla to jump on the other end...You are gonna' get smacked in the nads.
I kinda like this quote about producing the key better. Never heard that before, ROFL! Great stuff.Fart,
If a cop tells me to Halt! I am gonna' halt. If not, I expect to hear gunshots. When he politely asks me to unchain myself from a coal car. I would be shitting the key I just swallowed. If I dont, I just chose to escalate the situation.
Quoted For Truth.I don't think they would have gotten very far if they had tried this at a nuclear powerplant, more likely that 1 or more would have been shot dead w/o much if any warning.........just sayin
