I wasnt trying to hijack the thread, just joining in on the venting a little bit. War Beast (as usuall) Is making some good sense. Fart wants to hug a little more and slap 'em a little less. I respect his point. We dont need to go too far the other way. Then you would have what we like to call Mother Russia. Mommucked Is correct about the Nuke piece. They dont play when it comes to climbing thier fence. As far a politics go... I am banned ever since I joined the occupy a productive tax payers body movement. Just like ya'll.

Step 1- apply (bio)wheel bearing grease to stack
Step 2- leave 'em there till they wanna come down
Step 3- make popcorn
Step 4- watch 'em bust their butts, get arrested, accomplish nothing
Ever noticed my location in my sig?
 Candor, not Ashville! I love it!

I was short w my 1st reply. These protesters may be pro- nuclear power for all I know about them. I think everyone knows coal and oil are dirty, but who's ready to pay for all the new green "ideas" to remedy that?

If we don't already have a quote hall of fame, I'm starting it with this one right here.
I have nothing thread worthy to add, only a question?

Can I get that on a NC 4x4 t-shirt? I mean the gorrilla statement Damn computer.

Greenpeace protests nukes too.

Current "green" energy options are not capable of generating remotely close to enough power to supply the grid.

And about that green energy...
You read that right. According to the Caithness Windfarm Information Forum, there were 35 fatalities associated with wind turbines in the United States from 1970 through 2010. Nuclear energy, by contrast, did not kill a single American in that time.

Not to mention the birds:
The law of unintended leftist consequences has come home to roost again, this time in the form of dead birds. The Los Angeles Times reported early this week that wind turbines are killing the raptor population in California's Altamont Pass, where thousands of the unsightly machines mangle and mutilate 24 hours a day 365 days a year.

Six birds found dead recently in Southern California’s Tehachapi Mountains were majestic golden eagles. But some bird watchers say that in an area where dozens of wind turbines slice the air they were also sitting ducks.
