Hmmm, Obamacare lowered my healthcare cost?

To clarify, I haven't talked to Blue Cross yet, they are closed for the day.

But, my monthly rate for myself and my 2 year old son for the last year has been 243.33 per month.

I just got my renewal letter and it is now going to be 213.11.

I didn't get any healthier or younger.

We shall see tomorrow when I can call. Has anyone else heard of this?

My mom works for Conway trucking, hers was 75 per month, now with obama care, its gonna be $350 per month. Good thing he is looking out for us workin' Americans. Thanks Obamacare:fuck-you:

Yeah I know my Mom's just went up significantly.I definitely haven't heard of anyone saying Obamacare made the cost go down.

Mine is going up $50 per month beginning Jan 1. My company is self insured, and contracts an insurance to administer our plan. Up until now it's been BCBSNC, next year it'll be United Healthcare.

My blue advantage is going up about $50 first of the year.

And...I just had an eye fixed, so I'm sure it will go up because of that. (Legally/technically, they can't, but last time I had something done, 6 months later I got "moved to a new rating group" and went up about $75 a month. :(

Of course, we're supposed to get that "feel good" BCBS refund by the end of the year.

My BCBS goes up pretty much every freaking year. In the past 4 years, it has doubled. Hard to really say if this years increase will be due to obamacare or not

Oh it's because of him. I could tell you horror stories of 70-90 year olds sitting in a hospital bed crying, having to fight over getting well, the amount of therapy days cut, etc. These are the people that built the country and fought the wars that are now getting dumped like stray animals. Scary to think where that leaves Joe average that just works and gets by and has not even remotely started to have health issues yet. Younger vets getting bs about being treated, etc. Obongo is setting us up for one thing, if you have money you get better if your blue collar, self employed etc your going to be screwed. Must be all the favors being paid back that got him to dc. This is why we despise that jack off among many reasons. Saluting troops is second on my shit list.

Sorry rant off

Mine went up $200 per month. Might have to start selling stuff that costs me monthly money. Things were a little tight before. This might just put it over the edge.

Oh, I have a wife and three boys insured. Company told us the reason it's going up is new healthcare laws.

Thanks for that. I REALLY appreciate it.

Doug

You guys do know that most of "obamacare" isn't in effect yet, right?
“The state’s largest insurer has been approved to raise health premium rates by 41 percent to 47 percent for some of its policies sold to individual buyers, in the largest price hikes yet seen in Connecticut since the adoption of national health care reform… The reason for the increases is the new federal health reform mandates, according to Anthem and the state Department of Insurance.”
That's a quote from one of the many articles online about this.I think a lot of insurance company's are ramping up costs in preparation for Obamacare. Here is the article in it's entirety
