How fast does your rig go?

I found out this past weekend my wife's Mazda5 would do 95 no problem while we were rushing to the delivery room.... ;-)
 
My Sierra, no idea. I've had it up to 100, but never pushed it further.

According to the police, my 86 S-10 will do 96.

And according to the grin on my face, my 98 Trans Am will do 145 with plenty left in it. I bet it would top out in the 180s.
 
85 or so in a stock jeep with 31's. don't usually look at the speedo cause its a jeep ;) haven't had any probs with the popo so its got to be slow.

160+ in the ole 68 firechicken. 400 bb on hwy52 south from Mt. Airy about 8 years ago, stopped looking at speedo after 160, back end was coming off the ground. :eek:
 
I know my xj in low range with no brakes will do about 40 down Whitetail trail in Harlan!!!
 
I've had my camper at 117 mph on cruise. Came through El Paso, Tx and the speed limit hits 80mph on I-10. Set the cruise on 85 mph for hours! The little 4runner that was being flat towed hasn't been the same since! Don't really know the top end on it.

and drumroll please...............182 GPS verified in a Z06 corvette.

Wasnt driving the vette, but 1 heck of ride I'll never do again.
 
99 XJ 4.0L on 31's....97 mph the wife was scared.

95 YJ 4.0L on 33's....85 mph I was scared. :)
 
my 99 xj, when it was on stock tires, went to the middle of the odometer on 264 one morning around 5am going duck hunting. it was scary as hell but i was in high school and even dumber than i am now. my 06 f150 i dont know. my buddy had cruise set at 90 on i40 going to the beach this summer and under my ownership thats as fast as its gone. going fast just burns too much gas for my liking.
 
81 toyota on 33's with 4:10's hit about 80. way to fast for anything that old and rusty

Speedo's off and when it's on 70 I'm really doin more but it ain't safe. I'm glad I never bought a sports car. I get that "wow I'm going fast" feeling even when I'm really not... keeps the cops away.


Fastest confirmed is 145.55 mph at the start/finsh line at Charlotte Motor Speedway... gotta love the richard petty driving experiance. Car was carring 165 going into turn 1 and more in 3 and yes I was behind the wheel.:driver:
 
ive got 198mph by gps hooked on the bike on a 09 suzuki gsxr 1000 with full exhaust and power commander v.. bike had more but that was enough for me. bike will be on a dyno tomorrow to find out horsepower, torque, and top speed.. ill let you know what the turn-out is
 
I would guess around 60......any more and my square driveshafts would fly all to hell
 
My CJ is startin to get pretty scarey at 70 :lol:

I've been clocked on radar at 188 at Daytona on a R1 superbike, but that didn't have leaf springs n swampers so it don't count lol
 
92mph in a '08 JK Sahara, 2700rpm est
JK's are NOT built for speed (duh), once you hit about 80 it struggles to go faster.
It'll haul a$$ from 0 though :driver:
 
130+ in a 06 F250. Confirmed by the car behind me. It was still pulling hard but I wasn't comfortable going any faster in that heavy of a truck.
