About 6-8 here in Madison nc

4-5" in Blacksburg Va! With no 4x4 to play in it with..:poop: I rode to store and 3 college students in ditches in 2wd vehicles less than 2 miles from the crib! Smfh

Had 7 inches here this a.m. just ran to ingles and the bread isle was almost full .

Lol.... they said 4-6 inches.... we got a dusting. The cutoff line on WBTVWEATHER ran right over our house....

I didn't measure but others locally have measured at 8", I figured closer to 6" measuring off a hard surface and not grass.

Haven't been near Max Patch in over 20 years. Well, maybe 30. Err, 40. Roan High Knob holds many memories from that era. Miss the mountains.

You're watching the wrong weather. WRAL has been saying you wouldn't get much for the last couple of days.

Up until yesterday they were pretty consistent in us getting at least 4 to 6in every time I looked at them.

Fishel was saying that everybody south and east of downtown probably wouldn't get much of anything. And if the transition line shifted north, nobody else in town would either. That was noon Thursday.

We did not get much :(

Kids were not very happy this morning but we made the best of it

I tried to down play how much we might get, especially as the forecast changed... Kids were thrilled when they woke up yesterday, and it only got better as they got to watch better snow fall. Not much but fluffy flakes between wind gusts. I think there's 2" on the ground. We sledded and tried to build small snowmen... That the toddler stomped and the dog ate!

Woke up this morning to find someone lost control in the curve out front and wiped out the mailbox and some of the flowers and grass by the driveway.

Fortunately, for us, the old man mailbox post was the weaker link and took the brunt of the damage. Unfortunately, for them, they lost their driver's side mirror and probably fucked up their alignment.
